NO Match for Harriman/Schmidt

I won the 1000th post in the thread contest. Str8 shots owes me a signed Schmidt vs. Harriman 3 "War on the Internet" poster.
He's not banned. But if he got banned for speaking his own opinion and then pointing out the obvious about someone that cries every time someone has a differing opinion than theirs, I'd have no doubt that a lot of other people would soon get the boot as well.
I for one would go slap off the air.

I always pay attention to what you have say. In this case I think you do not have all the facts.
I believe Mark showed very poor form bringing the situation here. Since he did I will say this: If Mark did to me what he did to them I would of fired him too. My bet is so would you.

Tribute to Hatred Thread
I glanced over about the last 50 posts or so just to get caught up and it really killed my Saturday buzz. This thread has a few elements of comment sense but it's mostly venomous hatred, martyrized support for criminals and straight up bullying. Not to mention all the "let me piss down your leg and oh look it's raining" bullshit.

BTW, just to clarify, for those people who keep mentioning awllllll the good str8-shots does for kids, etc...
My son played in an event sponsored/promoted/whatever by Str8 Shots.
He took second and got a $50.00 "scholarship"..
Which he never got, btw...
Str8 Shots management gave me a call, since they had the # from the tournament my son played in... Much ado was made that they were not the ones putting up the money for the event, they were just helping promote it, , etc..
I don't know if they're doing good things, or if they aren't. If some other parents have input on actually receiving some benefit from Str8 Shots, then I am all ears. If that benefit is that the youth gets to play pool tournaments that cost money to play but no prizes are given out, then that is fine. Just say so, and let the kids/pareents decide if they want to play.
All I am saying, is it is all well and good that Str8 Shots is promoting junior pool.. But if an event is expected to have some nominal payout... And the promoter gets to say "the check is in the mail".....
Well, I guess they are doing a service then, right? You could technically say Str8 Shots is preparing them for a life as a professional pool player... :thumbup::grin-square::thumbup:
Recap: My son goes to a Str8 Shots-sponsored event. Wins second for a $50.00 "scholarship".
Check is still in the mail from a few months ago. Str8 Shots calls me and says they are not technically responsible for the scholarship, but will make sure it is taken care of.
Check is still in the mail a month after that conversation..
Yet..we paid an entry fee, right? I wonder what happened to the money?
I am sure it's all perfectly legit, right?

Fact - I personally spoke with you on the phone. I explained that we sponsored the event and that we would get to the bottom of it. I also explained that we were not at the event when the monies/scholarships were handed out so we could not tell you what happened.
Fact – You were going to email us your address so those involved knew where to send the scholarship too. That you never did.
Fact - I am positive that you know how to contact us as you had no problem sending my staff messages regarding your position on the Harriman/Schmidt match or posting an email address in this thread.
Fact – We have worked hard the last 3 weeks not only to obtain the names of all of the youth involved but make sure their scholarships were awarded.
Fact – On Saturday, 3 of the 4 youth involved, received their scholarships. If you would like to speak with the parents of those 3 youth, call me and we will get you in contact with them.
Fact – Your son won a $100.00 scholarship not a $50.00 scholarship.
Fact – Anytime you would like to give us your son’s last name and address he will promptly receive what he won.
Fact - The information we do have for you was given to those that handle it so that they could make sure that your son receives his scholarship. If you would have given the people that ran the event a chance to reach out to you to correct the mistake instead of continually trashing us, you would have seen for yourself that no one had any intention of screwing any individual out of what they are owed.
