Finally... we have common ground. I totally get what you're saying. I felt the exact same way when I read shill post after shill post from that BMA Brian guy. Mark never said anything below the belt nor did he trash Str8 Shots (at least from what I saw) and all of a sudden we got this "shot over the bow" to Mark as if saying, "You better not say anything... and stop crying about Christmas you pussy!"

Your whole purpose for posting in this thread at this time in the first place is to cause problems for Str8-shots and gain a whole lot of sympathy from a bunch of people who will say bad things about Str8-shots knowing they will not come on here and reply. I will reply if you post anything derogatory about them, their business or about how they do business. I don't work for Str8-shots so I can handle any of the bull%^&* that will come from replying right now.
There is always two sides to every story. As someone in the know about you and your actions over the past few weeks I don't find it surprising for you to post in this thread to create more problems for Str8-shots. That is the type of person you are. It isn't my place to tell everyone Str8-shots business because I don't work for them however, you posted on this thread to first gain sympathy and then cause more issues for Str8-shots and I don't like it. You got away with the first mess, not this time!
I know how badly this thread hurt Kimberly, especially losing three kids whom she sponsored because of this stupid thread. Had Kimberly known that trying to explain why a match that she did not setup, want to setup or have anything to do with in the first place because YOU were supposed to be working on a different match altogether would cause this much damage to her reputation she would have never posted here. Kimberly did not trash you despite it being your damn fault she had to come on this forum and reply to all of the bad press because people are too damn quick to think negatively about a newcomer to the pool industry.
Str8-shots is in business to help kids learn about pool, sportsmanship, integrity, ethics, and get a chance of a lifetime to play in a major tournament against other kids from around the world. Kimberly and Marc's first priority is and always will be working with the kids and that is not in your priority bucket. You want to setup matches, get comped for everything, sit back and watch everyone else work then take your cut. That is one of the biggest problems in this freaking industry, everyone wants a cut but not put in the time and effort required to grow something.
Mark, take responsibility for your actions and not make it seem as if Str8-shots did you wrong. Your woe is me, poor me at Christmas time is your fault because of the way you do things.

So, from there, I felt like puking with every one of his shill posts. I guess he's Kim's brother, I dunno. Why can't Kim just post or someone from Str8 Shots? The funny thing is: Brian or Kim didn't even HAVE to post because Mark didn't say anything -- he merely said he wasn't employed there anymore and said Christmas would suck and then he left it at that.
Instead, once again, there's a big drama with "I have an announcement to make" posts coming from someone who doesn't work for Str8 Shots, yet, has the inside scoop on everything.
The way I see it is that Mark has done more good in pool (AND bringing CHILDREN into the sport) through his exhibition tours than the entire Str8 Shots staff duct-taped together. When you hire someone, it's the responsibility of the employer to define the comp package clearly. Sales people expect a commission when they make a sale and maybe Mark was under the impression he would collect his commission when booking events for Str8 Shots, just like he probably does when doing it on his own. Just speculating, but Brian made it sound like Mark was being slimy for asking for a % of the profit, which is basically a standard commission model for sales plans.
In conclusion, I'm sorry my posts made you sick but sometimes the truth is hard to swallow.

I roll my eyes with this stuff because frankly pool is not something kids should be doing because the fact of the matter is bars and pool rooms probably AREN'T the best place for kids.

Yeah... meanwhile, Timmy is learning how to put Johnny in the middle, how to deal from the bottom of the deck, that if he steals mom's pink pills and take them an hour before he gets dropped off, he plays like GOD until about 10pm when mom picks him up again or that if he gets $20 on Monday for school lunches, he has a real chance of turning that into $100 by Friday if he's careful.
I don't have kids, but if I did... he/she wouldn't go to a pool room until they graduated high school. I consider myself blessed to have dodged a barrage of "career-killing" bullets during my younger years in the pool room. Many really good friends (all good people) of mine never made it out of the pool room unscathed: brains fried from drugs, gambling addicts who lost everything, can't hold jobs, etc.
Mark's reputation speaks for itself. He never made a post below the belt. He then got a "you better not" post and then the shill posts started flying. My posts HAD to be made just to balance the constant flow of nonsense from the Str8 Shill group (who, in my opinion, is suspect). Made ya sick? Join the club.
