LOL, Efren Reyes, now Nick Varner and Dennis Orcullo. I think you should stop fantasizing that you are Tom Cruise.
rackmsuckr said:Bernie,
I have not had time to read every thread you have started, and I just read this one, so I have to say I am VERY disappointed in your assessment of great players. Greatness emanates from the inside, not from the people you hang out with or the cigars you smoke. Don't you get it?
I defended you a long time ago when people were bashing your playing ability. I'm not a great player either, although I have kept my hand in it while furthering a career and raising 2 children. 30 years ago, when I made every ball on the table, maybe I could have joined the WPBA and come up playing big table 9 ball and been a contender today, or at least a has-been.And my life would have been so much different. But I feel that I have had it ALL, Bernie! So I can understand how it feels to be judged by the pool world, based on your performances.
HOWEVER, to start some stupid thread about how Nick and Dennis have no personality is just beyond ignorant. Did you know that the ONLY pro's picture I have in my office that I look at every day is Nick's autographed picture?? He is just such an inspiration to me.
Mike has known Nick for years, but I had only met him a few times and he picked me out of the crowd to do a setup trick shot. Now, he wanted me to just shoot the shot and all the balls would go in. Instead, while looking at him the whole time, I took my cue out of my fingers, then swung it back into the bridge and fired at the shot, all without looking at it, because I trusted his setup and because I wanted a big laugh and maybe I was being an attention whore too. But it was never mean-spirited and Nick got the biggest kick out of it. He is just a good, righteous man.
And do you want to know how he autographed my picture? It says, To Linda - Great Shot, Nick Varner.
Great people and personalities are not based on who is the loudest. They are the ones who bring joy to others. Who with a small action creates a meaningful reaction. Do not mistake silence with nothing to say, and don't mistake clamor or volume with being entertaining.
Dennis and Nick are cut from the same cloth, yes. Quiet, intent, serious, but never think that does not mean they don't have a funny bone off the table and that they don't enjoy life. And both carry the mark of dignified greatness, an attribute that I am pretty sure you will never attain.
And you want to know why, Bernie? Because unlike you, who feels the need to force attention upon yourself by doing outlandish, outrageous, and psychotic things to get noticed, all they have to do is walk into a room to be noticed. Their actions speak louder than any words that you can utter.
You have been banned before when you were The Silencer. Do you want that again? Could you maybe count 60 seconds before you push the post button? I feel very sorry for your need to be admired, liked, and noticed, and the more you try, the more you push everyone away.
Please, Bernie, for your own sake....burn your computer!

1on1pooltournys said:I feel like I should step in and say something here. I saw Nick earlier this week for the first time in a couple years. I have known Nick since I was born. My father and him were best of friends and former road partners (before people knew how good the future hall of famer played). He called us up and stopped by our place and visited for a while. I can tell ya...Nick is far from having no personality. Maybe he felt as though you were the one with no personality. Or maybe (if you are anything in person as you appear on this forum) he avoids contact with you for a reason? Maybe you are trying too hard to rub elbows with your former IPT members. One thing I can say about Nick...if you are referring to his personality at a tournament that's your first mistake. Those who know Nick know that he is all about business on and off the pool table. When he goes to a tournament, he is fully dedicated to win and will not be sidetracked at all. Now, if he's knocked out, he's the guy sitting in the bleachers watching matches, complimenting good play, giving his fans sitting close to him his ideas of the match as far as how he might play certain shots, and usually signing an autograph here and there. I wish i would have looked at this thread days ago, perhaps Sunday night when i was visiting with Nick. Then I could have showed him this thread and let him bash you himself. Maybe I'll call him. Naw, he's too busy and way above this and what you are doing on here. Wait...now I know why I didn't read this thread earlier...cause idiots like you make it completely unjoyable, especially for real pool players and enthusiast. I made the mistake of opening another thread and it says you don't gamble. I guess i know why. Your IPT record proves it. Take care and good luck with your game. And thanks for making another player with wisdom and knowledge shy away from this rediculous forum...or at least what it has become!!!
PoolFool said:You know after all this time that has past since his initial post and with everyone's support of Nick, Denns and Efren(from another thread Bernie has started on why Efren was bad for pool); this friggin TOOL has yet to apologize for anything. All he did was defend himself instead of offering any kind of public apology to these three gentlemen I have named. Bernie, you shouldn't be asked to offer a public apology; but if you really had balls and decency, you would have came out and offered it outright. You really have no class.
Enough time has passed for you to come out and say something from your behalf. It isn't as if you haven't been around and are unaware of what has transpired here in the past few days. If you don't want to apologize then just shut up completely. Stop starting new threads and adding your 2cents to any post. After this incident whatever friends you may have had; should be long gone. You are SPINELESS and RUDE and should lose your right to post anything on this forum ever again.
Best Post EVER!!!!!!!!!!!girlwon1 said:You suck. I am tired of you. Go away you non-pool-playing piece of shit.

He really couldn't talk big because there were plenty of people around that would easily close his mouth for him.

there needs to be star power,in pool, for instance nick varner was approached to do a huge documentry on pool, the director said "you are one of the most inspirational players that ever lived, i would love to have you in my documentry which will be released around the world, for pool fans and others alike what do you say? and nick just stood there chewing like a cow,and didn't even give him an answer, then the director said, well if you just want to come onto the set, meet me tonight, and he gave him the location and again in leaving the director said it would be my honor for you just to show up, again(chewing like a cow,no anser) nick never showed, that says a lot about nick, this director is giving him respect god like comments, compliments what have you, and he chews gum back in his face, doesn't even show up on the shoot!,this was a slap in the face of pool! say what you will, but that was a slap in the face of pool.
