Not 99, not 101, but it was 100

Thanks for the heads up Dennis. I will check it out tonight !

I would have left it to bill to do the honors !

Steve

Steve:

Bill is kind of shy right now. He told me he was going to put it up for us to watch and that later he and John would add a commentary.

It's all good.

D

Can you believe it was exactly 100. I didn't know it until I watched the video. I missed a ball that Ray Charles could of made at 101. lol

I just finished and its after 1 AM so it hasn't been uploaded yet. I think John and I will do a player review and it will be on his 294 DVD.

I watched his 294 last night, must of inspired me. Thanks John.

Bill

Bill,

Congrats my friend!

The fact that you did not even realize that you hit the 100 until after you watched the tape tells me that you were just focused on making the balls and not conscious of the count....a true sign of being in the "zone".

Ahh........if only we could all "learn" to play in this mode.

Again, nice shooting.

P.S. I suspect you will be logging 100 plus runs on a somewhat regular basis from here.

Thanks. Bernie.

I added the link to the first post.

Bill and I just went over the vid a few hours ago.

Not only did he hit the big number right on the head, but the majority of the racks were very smooth. No circus shots.

In fact, he should still be shooting. The one he missed on was ridiculous.

That´s right, he missed probably the easiest shot in the entire run. Imagine that ball would have been the 100th, that would have been a heartbreaker... Did not watch the run yet, justthe end cause i wanted to know how it ended. Will leave a feedback later today though.

bill: just watched almost all of your vid. you have a really good feel for the game a great, natural stroke, good rhythm and excellent shot-making ability. right or wrong, here are a few things i noticed when watching.

in pic3; you sink that 9ball and run into the 5ball? almost creating a prob on the rail. i would have probably shot the foot-rail ball next.

pic4; it looks like you shoot your break-ball and bump into one of the other two. i would have probably taken that ball in the side and given a light tap to the other leaving the 14ball? in the side next to get on those other balls on the rail. then you could leave that ball down table to get on the key ball, now near the rail.

pic5; i think you hit this too soft and almost got stuck. a little more speed would not have been careless especially since you had that ball down table.

pics 6&7: you shoot that one going two rails which almost got you into trouble. it's hard to see the angle from the video but it looks like you could take that 8ball? in the side then the 1 in the corner and used the stipped ball as your key to the key to the key.

pic 8; i thought for sure that you'd hit this with a firm draw but you followed it leaving a difficult 1ball shot. but you were running out of options so i understand your decision.

pic 9: did you consider leaving that foot-rail ball for the key? taking that long rail shot down table with a little draw would have left you two options. you came out a little short after and had a difficult out.

please note that this isn't criticism, i'm just musing over the game....

I'mgetting all these facebook messages about this Bill Marap 14.1 sharpshooter?
Who is this masked man running hundred(-s) balls all the time??

If you're looking for a game, I know a guy in Pensacola FL thatll play you some.

As AL Bundy would say "lets rock"

Bill,

I just watched the run...... Great Job !

i am going to quote your last lines on the video. you are an idiot by no means. I Think you were just mentally fried at that point. With two back to back tough racks, i think it took its toll on you.
i think if there were no situations to deal with in the last rack your run would have been alot higher. would of gave you some breathing room to let your beautiful stroke back out !

look forward to seeing the finished product with the commentary, and plenty of more 100s to come.

I Guess It's My Turn !

Nice work.

I forget what book it was, but I like the story of two guys playing and one player is having his greatest day ever, is one ball away from his first 100 ball run, wants it more than anything...and the other player moves all the balls on the table and says "You win...but you STILL haven't run 100 balls" lol.

100 is always a nice run...for a bum like me who peaks out in the 50's and 60's, its a special number.

Good shooting Marop. I have not watched it yet but will try to get it on the playlist ASAP. runs 100's and world class power that is strong.

PS I need a Maropolis Racing Engines sticker for my garage fridge, preferably signed
