No one said that it is easy for your average league player to do.

Hanging around Mika, I'm amazed at your response to this.????
You're letting the bending impress you way too much. I know that you are one person around here that knows pool so it surprises me that you are that impressed and being so defensive on this. On a table with fresh cloth and clean balls, and the stroke of a professional, that shot really isn't all that impressive. It sure looked neat though. Give me those table conditions and I'm pretty confident I could do it.

I'm sure you read this whole thread mully, so this should come as no suprise. In the spirit of how this thread has progressed:
I'm gonna need you make this shot, collect it on video, and add it to the interwebs so I can see it.
Anything otherwise is simply unacceptable.
Thanks, Tball
You run right over here with a great table and put a nice slick cloth, speed cushions, clean waxed balls, not to mention lights all around the table to heat the bed of the table up, and I'll be right on it. There is no way in hell I can make that shot bend like that on the tables I have access to. I'm sure I can draw to the side rail and back up table though, just won't have that fancy arc to it like everyone is so gaga over. I'm willing to bet that Corey wouldn't be able to get that arc on a table that has had plenty of use to it either.

Ok player....
But let me ask...can you get back to the 5 with draw?
I wouldn't try it in a game situation...but I think I could more often then not...dunno, gotta try it.
If I understand you correctly, you're saying that the shot isn't as impressive because he had the right conditions and equipment to make the shot feasible. I can understand that perspective, and respect it.
I think the exact opposite though. I feel the shot is so difficult that it could only be executed in it's dramatic fashion under specific conditions, during the year when Corey was playing at his best. In my opinion, this makes it unique, and even more impressive.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not against the fact that you think the shot isn't insanely impressive. That's fine. I'm merely arguing the fact that it was called "easy" and "routine" by a few others.
Anyway, I think this concludes my contribution to this fiasco. Cheers.
In the interest of honesty I gave this a few goes after my last post this morning. While I had marginal (at best) results with cb shape....I had absolutely awful results when it came to pocketing the 4. I mean retarded monkey/door knob orgy kinda bad.
I was completely cold and had been working all night...so maybe it would be a little better if I were fresh and had some time at the table.....sure as hell can't get much worse.
At any rate.... my position has changed....I don't think I can get back with draw more often then not...at least not without losing my turn at the table.
Poolplayer, you would have been betting smart.
Cheers,
