Efren and Shane will be on the podcast tonight at 9 PM Eastern. If anyone has any questions please post them up. These two kick off OB TAR 34 Friday at 8 PM Eastern.

The podcast is free at www.theactionreport.com.

TAR 34 is presented by OB and sponsored by Kamui and CueSports International.

Nice podcast..think Shanes prediction was right - on the 10 ball he should win based on the break advantage..and on 1 Pocket Efren should outlast Shane in a match to 11...and because of the break like Efren said, Shane will also have a slight edge with 8 Ball..so 2 out of 3 for Shane. Also not trying to beat a dead horse but if 14.1 was in there the break wouldn't mean sh*t..but these arent the right guys for 14.1 anyway. Gonna probably be the best TAR matchup numbers wise by far..I think this is THE MATCH we've all been waiting for for a while..alot like finally seeing Manny Paq vs. Floyd Mayweather (before Paq lost).

Can you ask Efren how he aims, I think its similar to Shane after I bought the aiming download 2 weeks ago, I was thinking to myself this is how Efren and Sigel aim as well.

Also there was a rumor that in his country when he was considered the best player before he came to the States as "Ceasar Morales"...there was one guy..basically a drunken bum..who was the only guy who could beat him..he would come play a set with Efren..beat him and then go to the liquor store to get a bottle of whatever..can you get him to confirm..seems unbelievable but has been rumored for years.
Thanks!!

Another legend.
Efren himself told when he was 19 years old he felt he was the best player in the world.
He beat Busti spotting him 27 points years later. And he beat Parica.
He said his earliest great conquest was against a guy name Boy Quiapo.
Boy was regarded as the best in Manila and Efren offered to give 71-49 spot.
Boy said he'd retire if Efren beat him with that spot.
Efren beat him and Boy quit.
By the time Efren turned 25, he might have been the best rotation player of all time.

Efren does not aim like Shane I think. Not even close.

Efren told me Boy Bicol played like Busti but that he was murdered for allegedly dumping a match

Efren also told me about 4-5 years ago At Stix Billiards that the level he played at right then would get the 7 at least from when he played his best!

I cant tell you how privileged I feel to have been able to have conversations with Efren, be at his birthday party and play him one pocket. He is a great person and very caring.
Not only is he the GREATEST OF ALL TIME as a player but he is close as a person as well.

Was pretty cool so see Shane so interested in Efren he even had his own set of questions. When he was asked for his predictions, Shane kinda hesitated and even looked embarrassed to admit how much he felt he was going to win. Most the time he'll just come out with it, how he's gonna run over his opponent. You can see he has genuine respect for Efren.

as usual I miss all the good stuff. Any idea when the podcast will be uploaded to YouTube? I know JCIN is busy as hell(and thank God for his fine work) but I'm really looking forward to this podcast and of course the main event.

a few hours ago he said it was uploading, i'm sure it will be done soon, He said it was a large file and could take awhile.

I noticed this too. It was also funny when Shane asked him who brought about the ten ball break as we see it today. The best part was when they asked efren who the next efren is. His response was simply, "No one. Only one efren."

The humility of this man is amazing.

I liked how he gave Sigel and Buddy their props. Also how he mentioned that Varner beat him twice at his home turf during his prime.

It seems like I say this every time, but I mean it every time. What a great podcast. Possibly the best to date in my opinion. I like how Shane asked Efren some of his own questions, and Efren was more talkative than I expected. You can really tell those are not only some great pool players in that room, but great guys as well. The only thing that I wished would have been brought up or asked about (and I didn't think of it until today) is Efren's famous Z shot kick runout against Earl at the Sands. Definitely buying the 8 ball tonight and probably the 10 ball on Sunday.

Great podcast. Efren was surprisingly detailed in his answers.

It was a world class when it comes to billiard related podcasts..

Fantastic!!!

All 3 guys showed Efren the respect that he deserves. I loved hearing Shane's questions the most. Could not have been better IMO unless perhaps it had been about twice as long :-)

That's one of the big reasons I'm such a fan of Shane's right there. When he asked those questions that was just like one of us asking. You can tell he really loves pool as much as all of us fanboys on here. So many pros are so jaded it gets depressing. I mean look at Shane when they started horsing around and playing a version of pyramid. Like a kid who found a new toy. Love it.
