October 17, 2015, Ronnie O' Sullivan Does It Again

A few seconds over 6 minutes for the 36 balls. Avg. = 10 sec. per ball.

(And he has done it even more swiftly than that!)

He pace of pool is an absolute joke, and the number one reason it is a shambolic mess in my opinion.

What? So possibly the greatest pocket billiards player of all time is a mess because he shoots to fast? Lol go back to playing in your basement.. I'm sure your a champion there lol

He is indeed a legend.

I think Ron missed a "T". The pace of pool. Meaning, a snooker player just ran a maximum in a little over 6 minutes, while Charlie Williams takes 6 minutes per shot.

Ahhh that makes sense now. I was wondering how anyone could say something negative about how a maximum break was achieved.

lol, I'm pretty sure he's saying the opposite of that. Look at Ronnie's average shot time and compare that to the average shot time you see in pool. How pool is a slower game than snooker is mind boggling.

Simply the best

He is a fantastic player. Without a doubt the best snooker player to ever play the game. During the 147 he shot with a bridge once, left handed once and stood up to take a second aim once.

I would like to ask Ron two questions. Do you play snooker and if so what is your highest break?:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Ronnie was about 20 points into a break once, asked the ref if there was a prize for a 147 and then proceeded to run one.

My favorite Ronnie moment for sure

Question for the snooker players, why does this club chap he's playing against take those flyer shots??

Even I know from watching many snooker matches that you don't even attempt those, you play safe like Ronnie does, then wait for a higher % shot...that's why it's called "snooker". Did that chap just suck? Is that how average club players shoot?

He's got that little Buddy-like pause and then he just sends-it-in-Berlin. Makes that 6x12 look like a Valley bar-box.

I really envy snooker and the atmosphere that surrounds the sport. Look at that private club. The clientele resembles Augusta, Georgia and the Masters in golf. I'll bet the membership dues to that snooker club are steep in a world where pool hall owners in the states are practically giving table time away ($7 play all day) to keep people in house.

I love how the crowd got really silent when Ronnie was down for that shot to go into the stack. That was killer.

Great video, and great atmosphere. I enjoyed that even more than his pro tour 147s in front of TV cameras.

Thanks for the post, and green to you.

The intelligence levels of some people around here is astonishing. Anyway...

Pool is slow because players are selfish, with monster egos. This is true at all talent levels. Even the most mediocre of league player will do all they can to strangle the joy out of the game.

That's two questions. As you mention one, the answer is no, i don't play snooker.

It was an Exhibition type of show, people in that club had one game against Ronnie, it wasn't even a match, and they wanted to have fun and shoot at something against him, that is all, it's not a competition or real tournament or anything.
