Are you Mr. Edwards Power of Attorney? are you his guardian or trustee? What stake do you have in this. As you can clearly see... the bashing has no effect.

I think he has the same stake that we should all have. That being, we shouldn't put up with ,scammers and thefts from fishing for new "marks" on this site to screw over.

Keeping it up front prevents newbies from falling for the Ed Wheat's "sparkle" post he uses to sell cues, cues that he may never deliver even though he spends their deposit.

By ignoring Ed's behavor you leave the door open for him to bait a new sucker ahh customer.

If that's ok with you then I think you need to check your morals.
If you don't want to know who is or isn't honest then just skip Ed Wheat / Varney, or the so and so ripped me off thread. Or better yet order a cue or make a deal with one of them.

On a side note:
Has anyone ever ordered an EW cue and had it delivered and if so was it in his highly publicized time period?

And here's a Question for you BigJohn, How do you know the bashing has no effect?

If this is really about what Wheat said to you then just stick to that matter. If Mr. Edwards wants to post about his problems then that is HIS choice IMO. Just post what Wheat has done to you and I believe it will look alot more valid and not like just another chance for you to chime in about business that is not yours. Just so you know I DO NOT condone anything he has done here but being in business for awhile now I've found that bad press is almost as good as good press sometimes.
Just my view on things.

I'd say the odds of Wheat delivering are higher than the odds of Brian not starting yet another thread about this whole thing.
I am not sure I understand your "odds" so your probably a good gambler. The threads will continue until my morale improves and wheat meets his obligation.

I appreciate your post. I have stated my issues with wheat.Pm's containing insults and threats that were directly related to my speaking out against his failing to meet his obligations to Mr. Edwards.I would like to see wheat banned from AZB and prosecuted if he does not meet his obligations.Let's see how good his business is when he has no accsess to this site or a computer. On the other hand if he pays up to Mr. Edwards and does not make the mistake of contacting me again my threads are done.

Apparently wheat was disturbed that I would be offended by his failure to make good on his word and sent me an pm blaming his failure to ship Mr. Edwards cue and partial refund on the bad weather in central Florida...<snip>
Chances are it's just another BS excuse, and I can understand your unwillingness to accept it considering Mr Wheat's history of numerous other lies and broken promises that are always accompanied by some excuse, but never accompanied by any results. Personally I could give the benefit of the doubt on this one and accept that it could legitimately delay the cue a week.

The problem is that this latest excuse for a one week delay does not account for the other previous months of delays, or for all the rest of the lies and excuses that were not legitimate.

The other problem is that this "one week delay" will likely stretch out for who knows how long again (at least a few weeks I'm sure), and the further delays will come with even more excuses. That's how it always goes when the actual problems are a person's lack of honesty, integrity, and responsibilty.

I am unsure if you folks have noticed but Mr Wheat was online here this morning and I'm sure he is enjoying all the advertising he is getting, plus all the attention. I assume that means he is not in the pokey and he is just letting this continue as it amuses him. He will undoubtedly get the cue to the buyer when he feels like it and it pleases him to do so. Personally I would not choose to do business with him or several of the other cuemakers / cuerepairers because of their business practices but that is just me. I tend to stick with the tried and true established businessmen that have proven themselves to be trustworthy and professional.
Just MY Opinion!!
Dan wanted to spell that out!!!!!!!!

Havent we had enough of these? Im not condoning the actions of either party, as I have no play in the situation, Im just fed up with this mess.

I'm tired of hearing about all this too, but we only have a few choices here, and this seems to be the lesser of the evils.

The first option is to simply not have these threads, and let the offending parties be free to go about continuing their deceptive business practices and/or ripping people off without many people knowing about it, because there was no public exposure.

The second option is to continue to have these threads, which serves to protect others from being the next victim by making them aware, and also serves to (usually) to get the offending party to correct or at least limit their dishonesty.

The third option is that the offending parties could just stop being deceptive and/or ripping people off. Then there wouldn't be a need for any of these threads.

Which option makes the most sense? The third makes the most sense by far, but some businessmen just aren't going to conduct their business in an honest manner unless they are forced to through public exposure or pressure. In those cases the second option helps persuade them to start being more honest, and it also serves to alert people so that they don't become the next victim in the mean time.

Pii... nothing has changed...that's how I know. Show us some effect that this constant bashing has had one way or the other??? Most of the ones that are doing the bashing have never had and never will have any business with Mr. Wheat. Let the effected parties handle their own business.

As a newbie here I am sure that many will find my response irrelevant, however, I joined this forum to look for an independent qmaker to build a custom "sneaky", and I for one have found these "bashing" threads a useful tool in deciding who not to contact. Yes, there are a disproportionate number of threads concerning AZB's two most infamous qmakers, yet in my opinion these threads saved me from suffering what so many others have had to endure concerning transactions with these two. So FWIW a big thank you to all those who have not let dishonorable actions go quietly into the night.

Would you buy a cue made by either of our two "infamous cuemakers" at 70% of "retail" on the secondary market?

50%?

Just curious...

I know the Melbourne area got around 24" of rain from Fay. Hell we got over 8" here in Eastern Alabama alone. That can generally slow down work or shipping. But of course there is no reason Mr. Edwards hasnt gotten his cue yet either as he brought this up a few months ago I do believe. His waiting time is becoming like others on the board...

Cincyman and probably several others got their cues after exposing the nightmare experience. I would call that an "effect".I would not call telling the truth to be "bashing".Why do you not take a stand against disreputable business people who abuse this web site?

What? How the heck to you know someone didn't decide NOT to do bushiness with EW? I can show you at least one that wishes he had.

Your statement is nothing but your opinion.

Take care

Hmmmmm BigJohn ??

Well, we can bet on the odds.

1. Wheat will pay partial money
2. Wheat will pay all money back
3. Wheat will deliver a cue
4. Wheat will keep some money
5. Wheat will keep all money

I'll be the AZ bookie for this one. Taking bets.

Duce,
Can you add a timeline for the over/under in the event of a cue delivery? Cause to be optimistic is now added to the mix in view of Mr. Edwards post below.

Also does it count if Ed deliveries a cue with a shaft so unseasoned branches are growing off it ?

Wheat sent me a PM yesterday saying the cue would be shipped today and he would send tracking information.

Mr. Edwards in the event that 3 wise men appear from the north and the cue and partial refund actually arrive will you please let me know so that I can ask that this thread be closed and/or deleted.
Best regards,

Brian
