Overnight I got a PM from Mr. Wheat saying the cue HAS been shipped via USPS priority mail (insured). He didn't send tracking numbers.

Priority mail runs 2-4 days. From Florida the normal delivery is 3 days to .

If the cue is as beautiful and low priced as Eddie says, it is the bargain of the century. That's just a chance the buyer must be willing to take.

Mr. Edwards I understand .Perhaps when the cue does not sell you can allow a charity to hold a raffle and maybe some good will come from this situation.Your heart is in the right place and a write off never hurt the bottom line.
Sincerely,

Brian

Good for you! I hope everything works out for you... really.

The reason I'm selling the cue is that I don't need another playing cue.

I originally ordered that cue as a gift to an elderly friend that had his cue stolen during the Xmas holidays. He couldn't afford to replace it. In the mean time I loaned him one of my cues. We use the same specs. I ordered Eddie's cue as though I was ordering it for myself because if it happened to be a magic wand I was going to keep it for myself because my friend was very happy with the loaner. Since the EW cue didn't come in I told my friend to just keep the cue I loaned him. That was a $1400 cue, BTW.

Also during that time I had someone else that really wanted to buy my current playing cue, a Chudy that I like very much. I told him I'd sell it to him when the Wheat cue came in, if I liked it. After so much time I lost that potential buyer.

I hope all this makes sense. Now when the Wheat cue arrives I'll simply have too many playing cues. That's the reason I'm offering the EW cue for sale. There's nothing personal involved. This is strictly business.

He said it was insured. The insurance part has a number... which acts as a tracking number.

But one of the other posters is correct in that Priority mail alone doesn't have tracking numbers.

With the optional Delivery Conformation you get a number. If the package is insured, delivery conformation is not necessary because insured mail requires a signature and is scanned at the time of delivery.

There's no true TRACKING system with the USPS, just verification whether or not an item has been sent/delivered.
Priority Mail is assigned a "Delivery Confirmation" number. Its not an option its included in the cost of Priority. "Insured" mail is assigned a seperate number for use only by US Postal and the Insurer.

Print a shipping label from your computer and you get the Delivery Confirmation number when the label prints. Do the label at the post office and you get the Confirmation number when the Post Office prints your receipt.

Enter the Confirmation number at US Postal web site and you should see when the package was accepted at the Post Office. Most often you wont see any more info until the package is delivered.

And thats the truth :p

Good luck on this. Lord knows you been patient enough through the whole episode.

NOTE TO EW: Ive stayed out of all this so as not to cause anyone anymore grief than necessary. I have to say to you though youre a real dissapointment to everything a good cuemaker stands for. Im proud of being in the trade but Im not proud that I must share it with you.

You can also find out if the package was actually sent. Too bad they don't have an actual tracking system that tells you where the package is at all times.

Is today the day that the skys will burst forth with sunshine and rainbows and Mr. Edwards cue will arrive?Could the moment of truth be at hand?Only time and Mr. Edwards will tell.AZB if Mr. Edwards announces the arrival of the cue please lock and /or delete this thread.
For future reference, according to the AzBilliards Forums Rules " Items that will be allowed for sale must be pool related" Is an item really for sale if the "seller" takes the money but does not deliver? Is an item really for sale if the "seller" makes false claims regarding delivery time and quality?Perhaps in the future the new wheat cue logo will be a picture of "Smiling Bob".

Get the cue Charlie or another shipping delay story?
Not in todays mail. From my experience with priority mail, holidays always seem to delay things. Hopefully it will get here by the first or middle of next week.

I'll post here when I get it. If I don't post... means it hasn't come in.

Am I an "instigator"? I did not take money and not deliver.I did not bombard AZB with false advertisement.Keep your opinion.Your entitled to have one. I reserve the same right for my opinion.I am allowed to have and express my opinion. Personally I find your inability to denounce a disreputable business person abusing this forum reprehensible. As to the work being done....apparently not today.(No delivery of the cue)Have I become tired? No.In fact speaking out about what I feel is an injustice is energizing.Bigjohn can you honestly defend wheat's actions in this matter? If so, be his next customer. I am sure he can use the money.Maybe wheat will build you a cue with a "Smiling Bob" logo and he will promise you 4 times that the cue is in the mail not to mention that he will respect you in the morning.

Only if the day it is to be delivered is the holiday. I would think you should have received it today. Isn't this the third day? If it is the third day I would go to the PO and ask them to check on where it is.

This thread should not be deleted. If you didn't want your words to be viewed continuously in a public forum, don't post them. If you didn't want people to be able to reply to those words you posted, don't post them. Learn what a forum is. Don't expect AZB moderators to let you start a topic and then yank it away at your whim.
