Not many real sign ups, in fact I only see one. All the others are past US Open Champions and are given free entry. I'm sure it will pick up when we get closer but right now its only the players who have nothing to lose or any cash to pay out up front. Great field of players on that list though.
 
Yes, 1-15 are past champions.

I believe all have confirmed except,

Gabe Owen and Nick Varner

So 1 person paid entry so far? Not really worth typing up. I can't see this filling up at $1000 a pop. I don't think many from out of the USA will be coming this year. Johnnyt
 
Has the $75,000 added money been secured yet? Maybe that would get more players to confirm.
 
I thought the free entry for past champions was done away with in the last couple of year? And then Barry's rambling on one of his press release this year said it was someone like one free entry every 5 years as long as his jacket is worn? Confused...

If Robert Lewis actually paid, may I suggest putting his name as #1. He probably paid this early to be first on the list:)

From Barry's March 17 press release:

"Every 5 years starting this year, all U.S. Open past active champions will pay no entry fee under one condition only; they all must proudly wear their green jackets prior to each match they play with no exceptions. This is all I ask."

So are they required to prepay $1,000 and then they are refunded after they wear their jackets? How much money is currently held $1,000 or $16,000?

it will be interesting to see. especially since someone else is supposed to be holding the $$.
 
Shaping up to be quite a field: Here are the Fargo Ratings of the top entries so far. Top 17 entries are in world top 50.
