As much as I want this USA team to win...they just don't have it.

Hall banks terrifically. Why would he let Schmidt talk him in to backcutting that 8 ball? It was a cinch cross side bank and he knew it.
 
Im sorry but the pressure has always been tthere in the last 5-6 years. I went to Vegas in 2009 and the crowd was almost just as "ferocious" and juicy. However, back then the americans had a more solid team and they were playing good pool. Hatch was driving them and he was a real hype for both the team and the crowd. But now...
 
Crowd are not as bad as they were yesterday, they mush have been warned about shouting when a player is getting down

Schmidt is talking to Justin like he is a new kid on the block. He is talking too much in general....Justin draws from he 8 to the 9 ball for a hanger,,,Schmidt is stil talking while he is shooting the 9 ball,,,scratches in the side...he should zip his lip and play pool, maybe he would not have scratched
 
Nikos makes a ball. One in the side and now a safety by Niko on the two ball.

Great kick safe back by Hall, freezing Boyes behind the 4 and the 2 ball up table. It's a one pocket shot.

Oh and Boyes went to a hair stylist this morning. He is looking dapper.

Boyes elects to kick one rail, long...instead of two out of the corner. Makes a good hit but USA should be out now.

Schmidt with the 2 in the corner and instead of going above the 7, tried to go below it and missed his stroke, hooking Hall. Hall with another good kick, grazing the 4 and getting safe.
 
Niko butchers the safe back and USA should be out. Schmidt with the 6 and leaves Hall tough on the 7. John isn't smiling much. Hall with another nice shot, 7 in the side and draws off top rail, back down for the 8.

And yes, Schmidt should concentrate more on himself and less on Hall.
 
Hall is coming with great shots all set! Banks, kick safes, great shots all around! If usa can pull out this win you have to believe hall is the favorite against Nikos next.
 
I'm only reading the commentary from Watchez and it seems like John is worried about everyone else, rather than his poor play. Justin should be the MVP of the USA team.
 
Schmidt is single handedly killing us in day 3's first match. He needs to step up his game before it's too late. On the flip side of that, Justin is playing fantastic. Too bad it's being wasted at present.
