*** Official Day Three Mosconi Cup Updates

My Justin Hall fandom just went up 500% when he (in the post match interview) said that he thinks the US are favorites from here!!!!!!! LOVE IT!

The chick cheering behind Hall needs to ease the f**k up on the sun tanning :grin-square:

I'm gonna take this next match off and come back for the singles.

I would give Justin Hall a B+ for the day.

Let's hope Schmidt and Corey find their groove and get this one.

Best quote!! Justin Hall after coming back from 3-1 to win 5-3 (yes he got two good rolls)

Announcer:"do you think you guys have a chance?"

Justin: "I think we're the favorites from here"

Love it!!!!

That was awesome!!

And for as bad as they have played to only be down 2 points is a testament to the amount of heart they have shown.

Be great to pull outta this slump and roll on the rest of the day and take the lead!!

Niko makes a good hit also firing at the 9 which was close to the 3. Misses the 9 in the side. Leaves Hall the 3 in the corner and a makeable 4-9 combo in the opposite corner. It is slightly off angle. He bears down and drills it.

Kid has ice water in the veins. Huge win for USA.

Hall is done for the day and USA down 7-5 overall.

Hip, hip, hooray! Hip, hip, hooray!

Let's go USA. Show 'em who's boss! :grin-square:

I was really concerned about Justin Hall being added but he's probably the MVP of the event. Amazingly solid play.

I think, Justin Hall, Bergman, SVB and Corey are deserving of being there. I think beyond that, we have many young and old players that are hungry and have the nerves and game that deserve to be there. I also think Mark did a pretty good job selecting the team this year overall. Nobody is perfect and he's done really well with the decisions he's made. As long as he learns and properly assesses the performances this year, and continues to tweak the team in years to come, we'll be fine.

Here you go Lou, this is Schmidt's chance at getting his game together. Here's to hoping he does well!

The Euros don't seem to be struggling at 7-4. *shrug* (Nor does Justin or any of the other Americans at the same horrible rate that Schmidt is.) Listen, John is a great straight pool player and player in general. I just don't believe, based on what I've seen, that he should be over there as one of our top five players. The pressure is obviously more than he can handle at this point in his career.

So, in his first match he breaks and runs his first three, his opponent never got to the table on John's break. His match on Day 1 could be called the best of the day.

Why do you think he handled the pressure on Day 1?

The truth is you don't have a clue why he played good on Day 1 or why he has played like he has today.

Justin's response was awesome!!! Showed a lot of poise to being somewhat badgered by the interviewer. Good for you Justin! GO USA!!!
