Its getting late man... actually we are waiting on the 11:00 matches to start... so everyone is just banging balls around.

Only update I have is Shuff has Gus 8-7

I won one and lost one. I lost to John Schmidt tonight. I was fortunate enough to play on the table next to Earl and get blamed for at least a couple of his mistakes because, you know, that's the type of player that I am. I'm usually causing commotion and disrupting matches on adjoining tables. It was the highlight of my night, to say the least.
 
I am going home... 7:00am comes way to early. I will post more updates tomorrow when I come in for the afternoon matches.

Thanks, Ken. It was definitely a grueling match. He jumped out to a quick lead but I was able to "claw" my way back ;)

I will be playing him (Earl) tomorrow at 2pm on the B side. Yes Jimmy, I agree. He was way out of line as usual. I can't believe they let him get away with so much. I can't wait to see what is in store for tomorrow during our match. See u tomorrow.

HOLD ON! Earl isn't "getting away" with anything here! He made one comment about the tables being close together (not) and made reference to the players on the next table (Jimmy was one). I have kept a close watch on Earl both matches and will continue to do so. IT WON'T HAPPEN ON MY WATCH!

Earl has jibed with the crowd a little in a good natured way (I've been watching), and has made a couple of speeches outside, but overall he is behaving. Please don't make up any stories for sensationalism. Trust me, you will know if there are any serious problems.

At the players meeting we stressed that unsportsmanlike conduct would not be tolerated at this event. AND IT WON'T! ANY player who gets out of line will receive one (and only one) warning. The second offense will lead to disqualification from the match. PERIOD! I think EVERYONE understands that I am serious about this.

Rodney Morris vs. Rob Saez
Jose Parica vs. Mika I.
Mike Davis vs. Tony Crosby
Thorsten Hohmann vs. Oscar Dominguez (this kid is moving up fast)
Johnny Archer vs. Bobby Emmons (the last local on the A side)

Pretty serious group of players here! In anyone's book.

A few of the 32 players left hanging on with one loss include,

Efren, Cliff, Earl, Shawn Putnam, Luc Salvas, Jeremy Jones, Ernesto, Stevie Moore, Mitch Ellerman (Scott Frost is out), Dennis Hatch and Louie Ulrich (who play each other). How would you like to go over to that B side?

Now this is what I call a "POOL TOURNAMENT"!

Jay has this event under control and is doing a great job. Like he said Earl is not really doing anything wrong, I think he is just having fun for the most part. It seems like the crowd are lapping it up and getting what they came to see. He is not happy about the lights and told everyone after a game they looked like a spaceship. It got alot of laughs from the crowd. I am looking forward to today
 
Hey, I don't know if any of you have seen Rick at the Shootout but he has some awesome pictures. I am probably going to see what he is charging for them. Just a quick FYI for anyone, you should track him down and take a look at what he has so far. There are some exellent action shots.

I don't think the winners side matches start until 4.00 today. I am not 100% but I do know that Tony Crosby's match and Johnny Archers matches don't start until 4.00.
