Great cues buddy!!!!!
These cues are just beatiful the colors, balance of colors the details the precision of everything is amazing. I love the up-close pictures, to see the wood grain and colors. I dont look for errors i'm not critical like that i look for the deepest beatuy I can find in the wood, and the porportions, if the peackcocks/propellors are too big or small the can look bad. it take a tremendious artist to get the scale right and these cues have that. I dont like propellors that are all fat and puffy they look childish or to skinny then they look like throwing stars. The standard Gus propellor is the nuts, also the use of blank space to make sure there are no inlays crowding things up. These cues are perfectly executed bearing all that in mind, then to tie in the whole package. Perfect Ralf-I'm so happy for you. How many cues do you own now??? Its a fantastic collection.
I love the micro propellors in the rings, I want to havea cue made with those. A little old school design with new school application on a cue is a cool idea. As I said a few mmonths back were turning the corner and the cue makers of today are going to be commming out with cues that will be so outstanding that the cues of the 80's and 90's will all be great pieces of history-artifacts. and what they did with his I'm still a old school cue guy, that wont change-but I enjoy seeing the new ideas, makes me appericate the ledgends even more if thats possible. Man if Gus was alive today he would be proud of these guys ideas, he is a icon forever...(i think icon is the correct word). And like most or possibly all great artists they had no clue what public opinion of their works would be in the future, And the greatest thing is their work is used daily, I promis you that someone somewhere is playing with a gus 24/7/365
Its going to be fun the next couple years until they hit a wall with what they can do-but the next 2 years were going to see more new ideas every month,
best
