Any one interested in a older deluxe cue lathe from Hightower? I've got tooling to go with it and some extras. $800 gets it all.

I sent him a pm....but right after I noticed he has been on here since 2006 and this is his first post???????????

Sorry guy's

Sorry guy's I've responded to a few pm's but I've been out of town working, The lathe works good and comes with a set of 3/8 radial taps mounting plate for router, some but caps, a little wrap, come carbide tipped cutting tools and a few odd and end things. I'm selling because I don't have the time or ambition for it any more and the thing is sitting in my cabinet shop collecting dust. It is not sold yet a few guy's said they will take it, I'm located in Salisbury NC If some one is able to pick up that would be a huge benefit I will ship but don't know what that would cost. pay pal or cash or check is fine with me as long as you can wait till your check clears before i ship.

I said I will take it! Let me see if I can pick it up. I will get back to you later today. Sold!!!!

I have not heard back from the seller yet. It will need to be shipped as it is 8 1/2 hrs from me to pick it up. If he doesn't want to ship it I don't have a problem with him selling to someone that can pick it up. I still want it if he will ship it!!!

Somebody I know PM'd him as soon as it went up for sale. He even offered to have somebody pick it up and hasn't heard from him yet.

I drove all the way to South Daytona and back to save several hundred dollars on a camper. I have no dog in this hunt, but if all the steady rests, collets, power feed and such that usually come with a machine are there this lathe is about half normal used price for one of that age. If it is only what is in the picture then it is still a good deal provided all works well.

I was thinking the same thing. The best price I have ever seen on one. I don't have a dog in this hunt either, but if I could afford it, and the fuel to get there right now, I believe I may would be willing to make the drive. Of coarse in the long run shipping It would probably be cheaper, and save the long trip to pick It up.

It looks like this deal turns out to be like so many others on AZ lately.

The $800 Hightower lathe

You know what they say, "if something seems too good to be true, it usually is..."

Sorry it didn't work out.

It was listed on craigslist here in Charlotte NC under tools also and was still listed over the weekend, and Jimmy it is only 40 miles from me. If he will sell it to you (waldo's) I'll pick it up and crate it for you.--Leonard

Now that is some Charlotte hospitality!

Maybe I'm alone here but if he is such a nice guy , why would he lave everyone hanging, why would he not answer Waldos messages. I guess my idea of a nice guy is just a little bit different????? I know I will never want to conduct any bussiness with nice people like that. Just my opinion . Jim
