Were there any??? Ralph Greenleaf/Willie Mosconi Era

Look at the BCA hall of Fame, there are only seven female members, four of which were inducted in the past decade.

I'm guessing Pool halls weren't a place a "respectful" women would want to be seen? Social Sexual barriers have certainly changed.

There must have been some Ole time "Gals" that could bring major game?
 
Lynn Reed comes to mind. She was easy on the eyes too. She's not old, she's aged gracefully.

Wow, don't know about back then, but in the late 1970's and 1980's, the late Lori Shampo was collecting a lot of scalps.
 
Seen Jean Balukas play it dont get much better than that. when the guys cried if she played and no woman could faid that action she just quit . what we missed.

I'd put Lori Shampo at the top of the list for women money players. Vivian and Jeanette are right there too, no woman has ever bet higher than Jeanette, except maybe June Hager from Texas. There's a couple of others whose name escapes me that have showed up at DCC looking for action. Mary Kenniston and Robin Bell both could play for the cash as well.

Geradine could really play. She was a kick in the butt to be around too. She beat on me like a bss dreum at Grady's place in Aurora colerado back in the early 80"s.

She beat me so badly she finally came to the bar and blew $300 to me.
She and her Husband were partenrs with Grady in Aurora.

i was always curious as to what happened to her??

As I have heared the story a few times June was at the old Rack in Detroit and beat Rosie ( the Book) ot of about $300,000. John Drew was there in a stroller. How is that for early exposure?
it's a funny story to here told but I doubt very funny at the time.
 
I am not aware of Jeanette Lee or Vivian hustling anybody. They played for money and that is not hustling in the true sense.
I don`t know about the remote past but in the recent past, the ones I considered as hustlers were:

1. the girl from sandiego paired with a Oakie ( like bonnie and clyde ). I am afraid to mention the names. They will beat me up.

2. A girl ( Racheal) from canada

3. A girl ( Rachel ) from Florida who was the ex wife of the brother of a past US Open champion.

4. (?) Monica & (?) Helena
They were all real hustlers I am aware of.
