I want a hit off your pipe....Ok, before I start with the explanation of my idea for "Billiards and Beans" (The Chilli Bowl) I know how far out there this concept it. I also know it has never been done before an maybe there I a reason for that. I don't expect everyone to like it and I expect my fair share of people telling me I am an idiot and that this is the most idiotic idea that has ever been proposed.
I think this could be fun and informative and will take some planning to get I right or get it the way I envision it. I am planning on moving forward on this until I get too much negative or I am unable to raise the $$ needed to make this work. So here goes.
Four top name pool players in the parking lot of a pool room (Venue to be decided) each has a table and a camping stove. They are having Chilli cook off. The cook off will be timed and over after2 hours.
The beginning will be short shots and questions to each player while they begin chopping and getting their ingredient together in their pot. Shots of the food as they work an asking where they got to recipe what is their secret ingregient etc (a little like Iron Chef)
There will be a 20 min sit down interview with each of the players talking about the state of pool, their personal lives and their career. Between each of the interviews will be back to live for a few minutes to get a status update.
After the 2 hours are up we will have 3 judges chose a winner and here is where is gets to pool. The winner gets $2,000 prize for winning the Chilli Cook off BUT he must put that back into action. Part of the reward for winning the cook off is that he gets to pick his opponent from the other three contestants and also the game played, 8-9 or 10-Ball.
They break for on hour and then go inside and play a race to 30 in whatever gameis chosen while the two contestants who are not involved take spots in the commentary booth.
This isn't really a game show, or a reality show but Like I said it will be fun and informative up until they are playing for the cheese.
A lot of planning to be done but that is the concept and I will see how it goes from here. Please share your thoughts. Thanks
I want a hit off your pipe....
i thought it was declared last FRI night, that no one can post > .03 blood alcohol level? (present company excluded)
Yea...yea...I see it now...girls in Chili-Pepper bikinis...the Red Hot Chili Peppers providing the entertainment...and me selling my $1500 Hotter than Hot posters there!!!
I really like it, I like really it *a lot*...I'll have my people call your people and we can get it all set up....
Mark,
Only people from third-world countries like New Mexico put beans in Chili. As a former Texan I wouldn't waste my spit on chili with beans in it.
Women and children like that stuff I hear.

Jerry, you take one bite of my ribeye chili (with beans) I'll bet you'll want another bowl.
