wow - extra whiney *****iness in all sections today! i am so glad i logged on. pimp i was on your side til i saw this. let it go. you already blasted the main forum and now it's in the for sale. we get it. we agreed with you. but plastering this everywhere won't make it better. and i stand by my original post - internet auctions are buyer beware. bpg - take your 8 dollar paypal claim and quietly stop this. please. the two of you read like school girls fighting over a hair clip. jesus if you're that hurtin' for it and you'll shut up i'll give you the 8 bucks.

jrt30004, you can send that 8 bucks to my paypal acct...

yea, I think he has went way overboard and is just wanting whiney points now....come to think of it....someone just took a piece of bubblegum off my desk....I think I will call the IG and shut the Government down so we can do an investigation.....I am taking my ball and i am going home:sorry:

Wow

deleted...anyway, to informed paypal about the on going transaction here on Az is just flat out wrong!

BGP24, why did'nt you contact the person who's doing the raffle first to explain your disapproval or disappointment at first instead of going to paypal dispute right away. Im sure you both would've come up with a solution. No need to jeopardize any on going transaction nor the AZ community for little things like this.

OK, another joker who is typing without knowing what they are talking about... fantastic...

I did contact him many times before paypal. Contacted the mods as well. They all knew I was opening a dispute if they did not provide a resolution.

OK You gave them all an ultimatum at one point. Just exactly what is the resolution you sought? Spell it out here, once and for all.

I understand mild annoyance at pimp not declaring beforehand exactly which raffle was to be used. But given that he did exactly what he said he'd do and used the next one right after all the spots were paid for (and he mismarked one, but that person did declare he had paid in the thread) I think calling the guy a cheat and reporting this incident to any and every authority who will listen is going a bit overboard.

I've run a few raffles and participated in even more. I wasn't in this one but I did follow it closely (mostly to wonder how it had filled so quickly while my latest one languishes :) ) and I see zero reason to believe his minor, and I do mean minor, infraction was anything other than an honest oversight.

I do think that for people to trust in raffles there need to be certain standards that are routinely followed; after all it doesn't take actual impropriety, just the appearance that there could be impropriety to hurt any transaction in any business.

So I think BPG24 did a good thing in bringing up the issue, but I think going so far as he has is completely unnecessary as it's quite obvious there was nothing malicious taking place in this raffle. It only has a negative effect on raffles as a whole, all in an effort to enact vigilante justice upon an almost certainly innocent person.

So that makes it OK to throw the raffle section and possibly AZ under the bus over $14 ???
I agree, this is just stupid.I really hope this matter gets resolved,if I was a mod there would be some deleting done and banning but since I am not I am going to Wendys to get me a double stack.

Just because someone COULD have done something wrong does not mean that they did. You will need proof of that.

Paypal will not "prosecute" or investigate anyone for anything like this. I have already been through the Paypal thing with the Asia scam. They will only decide whether or not a person is entitled to a refund.

AZ is a closed membership. Nothing is wrong with the raffles. Who would have jurisdiction, and which state's rules would apply?

You would be better off at trying to stop all of the cue raffles at places like DCC, SBE, and the Open. Those individuals have a MUCH greater chance of rigging a raffle than Pimp had.

What did Pimp gain wrongly...not what COULD he have gained, but what did he ACTUALLY gain wrongfully?

Just my opinion.

Very logical as usual,I dont see what happened,he said the raffle would go off as soon as the spots were filled, big deal over alot of nothing, what was he gaining by his so called scam or bad raffle anyway?

Thank you hangemhigh!

bgp24 At this point, its you who is a joker!

you stated "They all knew I was opening a dispute if they did not provide a resolution"

show us the statement that a solution was presented to you then! I bet you, you did'nt give pimp or the mods a chance to come up with any! YOU are a JOKE! you participated on the raffle not knowing the circumstances then you complain?

WoW! what's your address so that I can send you back your $14 and plus some--------

Yeah I'm not sure what his dispute even is any more, and I'm not sure he does either. He opens a dispute to get his money back. People then offer him his money back, and he refuses saying it's not about the money. Then what's he trying to accomplish? What does he want?

If you want people to be more careful with these raffles and to be walking on eggshells, dotting every i and crossing every t, and having everything in triplicate, then mission accomplished, man.

make that two

I like when the person that is running the raffle tells you when everyone is paid and the raffle is on as well. I don't think that just because you didn't know when they were drawing you are entitled to a refund. The way you threw Azbilliards under the bus in your paypal claim is tasteless at best.

IF YOU HAD WON, WOULD IT BE OK THAT IT WAS DONE THIS WAY?
Nope....I would say that I won unfairly.

The winner "The Kurly One" probably saw the Powerball results...and didn't know himself if he had won or if the auction was going on for that night or not. He probably PMed pimp to see if he'd won or if other had not paid yet....I bet he was the winner was as much in the dark as the rest of us. Pimp ran the auction poorly...the winner wasn't even sure that he'd won until pimp posted that he'd won. I'D SAY THAT IS A POORLY RUN AUCTION!!! (Emphasized:thumbup: )

This (statement highlighted in red) could also be viewed as extortion...ie, The actual obtainment of money or property is not required to commit the offense. Making a threat of violence or a lawsuit which refers to a requirement of a payment of money or property to halt future violence or lawsuit is sufficient to commit the offense. Exaction refers not only to extortion or the unlawful demanding and obtaining of something through force, additionally, exact in its formal definition means the infliction of something such as pain and suffering or to make somebody endure something unpleasant.
