Ok.. Playing 8 to 7. 2 balls on table .

Score is 7 to 6.

I shoot one of the balls into my pocket and the other ball goes into his pocket.

How do you determine who the winner of the game is?

Thanks.. Don

I think this is and other funny situations should be spelled out in the onepocket.org rules, which is kind of where I'd logically look for the most definitive rules.

I see this situation as "The shooter made his gamewinning shot" and any other balls that happen to drop are irrelevant.

I would think first ball down wins.

from the rules listed on the internet:

3.2 In the event that a player pockets both their own game-winning ball, and their
opponent’s game-winning ball, both on the same legal stroke, then the shooting player
wins. There are no ‘ties’, and it does not matter which ball drops first, as long as they
both drop as a result of the same stroke.
4.

Where I play the game would be considered a tie, at which point each player would stand at each end of the table, draw their weapons a begin firing. The first person who drops to the floor is declared the winner.
I've never cared for that part of the rules. I always thought the winner should be the last man standing.

I think in the event of a tie the win should be awarded to the person who can hold his/her piss the longest.

Maniac (would have a fighting chance with this rule )

It is a bit tricky, especially if you dropped his ball 1st and after three rails CB kicked yours in. For sure you win no doubt.
when i give spot to people we discuss if we should take a ball of the table, so we always have one ball at table if each needs one, so in your case i would play with 14 balls on table for 8-7 handicap, usually take the ball closest to a rail , both agree on, or rack them missing one ball.
