Open Offer to Danny Harriman and John Schmidt from TAR

Just pretty? Its down right sexy. If I were to see that struttin down the street, my rubber boots would be on so quick, it would make your head spin.

<--------Doesnt understand why TAR would want to put $ in that weirdos pocket(DH).

<--------And this is coming from the Danny Harrimans "nittiest nokin poster ever award".

no it is coming from someone that continues to throw out derogatory names for no reason whatsoever towards someone they don't even know - all of which serves no purpose.

hi bud

When was the last time a pool player was offered flight, hotel, (and I am sure that meals would be bought by some do gooder in Vega$ as well) plus a guaranteed $1,000 and a chance to win $5,000 more? This is before you get some backer to put up more cheese for you to fire at.

To me, it is unreal but I guess I shouldn't be surprised that two pool players didn't jump over a goat on the edge of a cliff to get to this opportunity. However, it shouldn't break down to people calling these two names (or for that matter even more shocking is that Danny would even call JCIN any kind of name even in fun) as I respect John (but don't really know him except for drinking a beer with him one time in Vega$) and respect Danny as he has had his quirks but is a pool player that I feel can be trusted with money. Beyond that, why the two of them can't realize that this is another big stepping stone for TAR. I was involved in one TAR match (and another as a after the main show event) and can tell you all Justin got was a % of the live attendance gate and his hotel paid. In honesty, it didn't amount to much but was something which was better than nothing. Unfortunately, Justin won too easy and the DVD was never made so he got nothing from that as well. A few years later, we are to a nice offer of guaranteed amount of money by TAR.

I am not sure if JCIN thought this would get into a negotiation. If so, he might have started with expenses plus $500 guaranteed and $3000 to the winner. But again, in my mind, there should be no negotiation -- it should be a done deal.

John and Danny - how much is the most you have made in a year from a sponsor? Was it $118,548? I'll do the math for you -- $1,000 guaranteed for 3 days play for TAR. That is $333 a day X 365 days in a year = $118,548.

And this is just the first go around for TAR. What if the PPV is more than what JCIN and his business partners think it will be. Maybe next time it goes to $2,000 and $10,000 for the winner.

But all that is being talked about is what has happened in the past. Nothing about the future. Once again, a pool player(s) is ready to cut off their nose to spite their face. Between this thread and reading about CW and Mika, no wonder why pool is dead.

whats up watchez long time no c.
i think u might have just tuned in but i accepted to play gladly.danny is one who turning it down.

for the record im thrilled and flattered to b offered this money and somehow someway someday something good will happen for me thru tar i hope.

honestly this whole saga has at least shown the poolworld how brutal danny is to please and how easily he gets slighted offended etc.

when he and i used to get into verbal wars i thought to myself why am i the only one who seems to realize this guy gets mad over anything and everything and hates hates the world it seems.
years later i think danny has said enough on here where the general consenses is hes not a happy camper no matter what anybody says or does.

that being said ill still am willing to play u danny ,thats the best i can do to try to help myself,u,tar, the fans etc.

Kudos to you, John...I hope this match goes off as I do believe it is THE one people want to see. I have exchanged a few pms with Danny since he emailed me about my bringing it up on a TAR podcast. I threw it out there as the match people want to see and Justin agreed and this is where it has went from there.

I don't know if Danny will accept but I did tell him that he would regret it if he didn't play. A missed opportunity rarely presents itself ever again...

Good luck to both of you and I know that both will bring their top game and give the fans another epic match...

Gary:

Unfortunately, I think the opportunity has passed Danny by:

The wind-up, and swatting it out of the park in Mickey Mantle fashion:

And now the runner running around the bases, as the points-scoring formality:

John - thanks for correcting me. I'll admit I skimmed over the 20-something pages of this thread and didn't see where you accepted. Hopefully Danny will get with JCIN one on one and not thru some internet forum and apologize and JCIN will re-offer the match to him and the chance at some FREE money.

Thanks! I read very quickly through the entire thread yesterday but missed today's post due to skimming again. I hate to see it come to this...but, it is what it is and Justin Collett undoubtedly has a set of nuts that rub his ankles by going out on a limb to try to make this match happen...I'm sure Danny will regret this a little later...time will tell!

In all honesty, I thought John would have been the one to decline the offer because of his previous posts and his feelings toward Danny and the drama and all....SO, Thanks to John for his effort as well!!

I can't wait to see what JCIN will come up with next...I wonder if Johnny Archer would take the same deal to play Shane on TAR??? That is another one I believe the fans would pay to see...I guarantee the table would be picked free of all lint and chalk by the time JA gets done...I would also like to see Stevie Moore and Brandon Shuff play a 10 ball match race to 75 or 100...neither player has any quit in them and I believe it would be a good match...

I wonder if there is a way to get international players involved with TAR?? I don't mean the ones who live in the states but some Asian players who come to the states to play a big tourney...someone has to have some contact info for these players...I know SVB has been on TAR the most but what about SVB vs. Yang??? Does he ever come to the states??? He may take a free roll at this...getting the international community involved will surely boost ppv viewers...just a thought or two...

Wow! This thread is close to 400 postings...about a match that won't even occur.

i'd like to suggest that instead of issuing a match challenge here on the forums, that Justin try quietly using back channels instead.

I thought I just wasted an entire HOUR of my life reading through this entire thread...okay I skipped a few comments from a few people...

However, I didn't waste my very "valuable" time! I learned the difference between a professional pool player (e.g. Mr John Schmidt) and someone who I would not use the word "professional" in any sense of the word to describe! Very well played John...you have a new fan! ;)

Couldnt possibly be I had a reason for doing it the way I did it. I mean what the hell do I know about putting matches together ?

No kidding whats that guys trip, making it out like all your doing is trying to sign the number one pic in the NFL draft or somthing. you think he would be smart enough to see how pool has shot through to roof with the invention of the " match up " thanks to TAR..

Wasn't Donnie Mills calling out anybody within the CONUS except SVB a few months back? Maybe John Schmidt vs. him?

Hmm, maybe President Obama should appoint you to be the U.S. ambassador to Iran or North Korea? You can then apply your skills in putting matches together toward negotiating a resolution to the talks on nuclear disarmament. ;)

Just as on the national and international stage, it's often better to do things "quietly" through diplomatic channels than try to resolve the issues through the press or in this case, on a discussion forum.

Since your approach apparently didn't work, maybe now you can tell us why you decided to issue your challenge to JS and DH on a discussion forum?

Why don't you start your own action venue and book matches how you see fit. Justin all ready mentioned he wanted to fish or cut bait. He was tired of mousing around. This has been talked about for a few years now. Time to put it to bed once and for all. He put it on blast pretty much knowing John would accept. This ain't over...

It got enough people interested to post 398 and counting.

I don't think an all around wouldn't be fair to Donnie. I'm not sure but I don't think Donnie plays One Pocket very much. Agian, I'm not sure. I am sure that Donnie would be favored in the 10 ball but not as heavily as John would be favored in the 14.1.
