Darren Appleton just posted on his facebook that Dennis and Alex just played for $40,000 a head 10 ball a few days ago.
Alex came out on top of that one.Great to see Alex back in the game and to top it off beat Dennis.
Sorry dont know all the perticulars,just relaying this news.

It may have been 40,000 pesos, about $900. It would be very hard for these guys to get backers for $40,000. Not impossible, but that would be the all time biggest game ever in the PI.
 
So is darren in the Philippines now? I am very glad to hear Alex is hitting balls again and against the best too. Probably warming up for the DCC. I have a feeling Dennis will get it back.

Yes Darren is in the Phillipines,I guess some sort of exhibition.
 
Darren told me he spends about half the year in the Phillipines. I don't know if that was every year, or just when I talked to him, but it seems like he is there a lot.

I'm sure that's true. This debunks the rumor that Alex hasn't been playing pool doesn't it?

I figured that was just a hustle to get action at DCC.

Which is better practice for getting in stroke? Alex playing Orcullo or you playing The Saw?

I think we know the answer to that question.........
