Janice Bludworth collapsed around noon today and was med-evaced to Methodist Hospital in San Antonio. It is too early to tell exactly what happened, but early word is that her liver may have failed.

She is currently in ICU and accepting no visitors.

Our prayers go out to her, Leonard and the entire Bludworth family in this time of need.

I will post more details as I have them.

My family's prayers will be going out to her and Leonard and their family. I'm very sorry to hear this Blud, take care my friend. John W. Morton.
 
May thoughts and prayers are with the Bludworth family. Bazarus, ICU is the intensive care unit.
 
Hello All,

I spoke with Leonard this evening as he was driving home from the hospital, (130 miles to his home form the hospital) Apparently, Janice was up most of the night not feeling well, sometime around noon yesterday, she collapsed and coded (heart stopped). Leonard did CPR and revived her long enough for the Ambulance to get to her. Surmising her condition, they medavacked (air flight, I couldn't find the correct spelling for this word, sorry) her to San Antonio. During the flight she coded again and they managed to revive her again. She is in critical condition at this time and is in intensive care.

Leonard is on his way home to take care of the animals and close up the house. He plans on a few hours of sleep, then back to the hospital.

For those of you that have his cell number and want to call him, I would wait until the afternoon. They are not allowing any visitors, not even Leonard into see her right now. Any well wishes that anyone would like me to entend to Leonard, please call me at 630-244-2900. I am going to be away from the computer most of the day today, so VIA phone is best.

I will post updates as soon as I get them. If I cannot get to the computer, I will call Mike and have him update things.

I hope she pulls through for ya Leonard. My dad has heart problems and I know the fear that such problems can cause. I think it is great you knew CPR and were able to bring her back to have the chance at a full recovery. She has my prayers.
 
Hi again,

While trying to relay all the info from Leonard in my last post, I neglected to say that this all has something to do with her liver. Mike posted this at the top of the thread, and I forgot to add this info.

In additiion, she had some sort of reaction to an antibiotic. It is all very sketchy now, hopefully we will have more news in the morning.
