outstanding cues and prices

i know that this kind of post will not make everyone happy,but i still have been too busy to learn to get pics on here

I have been known to many dealers because i sell to them at reduced prices.john wright got about 20% of his cues from me.

I now have 8 beautiful cues from $1300 to $2000 wholesale.the cues are worth at least $1900 to 3000 from dealers.

Call me and discuss these privately if you would really like something special at a great price that you will never get elsewhere.

All of these cues are top cuemakers,new,perfect,and beautiful or I wouldn't have them.

I can possibly forgive the fact that you haven't learned to post pictures although for as long as you have been here I would surely think you would have learned by now. There have been numerous post describing just how easy this is to do.

On the other hand if you can't or won't post pictures what would be so hard about listing the cuemakers names of what you are trying to sell. It wouldn't be all that hard as you have already done so with the Mottey box cue.

Maybe it's just me but this sales approach is difficult for me to understand and once again you have lost out on another potential cue buyer.

Forgive me for bumping deano's post,but I feel like venting also.I agree Kevin, and likely many others(that might be a bit intimidated to speak out).Write 9 blogs,but not willing(time issue) to post pics?? Call me @ your expense,naturally,so I can BS your ear off-been there:boring2:Sure reminds me of telemarketing,actually. There are many people that will actually post them for you-can you imagine that?? :thumbup: What a world-done
 
I have a camera for Dean if he would like it for free, I will also talk to him over the phone how to use it and get pictures up online with it. Best I can do. :wink:
 
I know, this style doesn't appeal to everyone. So why not move on without the jabs? I have nothing against anyone who posted above, and am aware you are respected sellers. I also know that i bought a cue from dean with ZERO problems, and would do so again. Dean has his own way, either accept it or move on. If this offends anyone, my apologies...but i like the old school style-and dean can be trusted. He's also a lot of fun to talk with on the phone-give it a shot. Best of luck dean!

to people like Kevin,i neither ask your forgiveness or want your business.It is my understanding that it is the policy of AZ for people to refrain from placing negative
responses based on whether or not pictures are or are not posted on Az.Perhaps a warning from AZ will help .

Cues FS

I simply dont understand the drama that has to be posted here when someone offers a cue for sale,Simply if you are not interested after you read the post do not send a PM or contact the seller and move on to the next post. I find that if Iam interested in anything that is posted, I take the time in a pleasurable and polite manner and contact the seller and take whatever steps are needed to complete the correspondense!:thumbup:

I have never had the pleasure of buying a cue from Dean but I have discussed a Tascarella cue with him once and I thoroughly enjoyed discussing cues with him and I think he can sell his cues any damn way he desires.

I agree that Dean can choose to sell his cues in any way he sees fit. The same goes for any and every other seller here. On the other hand the cue buying community is rather small to begin with and seems to get smaller with each passing month. If you find that hard to believe just visit one or more of the events where cuemakers and dealers sell there merchandise. It is a tough racket to be in, even in good times.

I just hate to see a seller losing out on potential customers by not providing more specific details on the makes of cues that are for sale. Pictures make the specific details worth a thousand words and much easier for a potential buyer to decide if he has more than a curious interest in whats being offered.
If I have to beg for details and or color descriptions rather than just viewing the pictures or descriptions in a thread it is a bit of a put off for me. I know I wouldn't want all of the tire kickers this site seems to attract as here of late to be calling me wanting to know what I have and what I will take for it. We get enough of that already when pictures and pricing are posted in the for sale threads.

We all know how many threads are posted without pictures or worse yet with the sentence of "taking offers", and how much abuse the poster takes for trying that type of sales tactic.

Long and short of it Dean can sell however he likes and I do wish him the best along with all other sellers here.

Kevin :confused:- Why be so hard on the guys sales tactic...... Have you thought POSSIBLY that he may also be trying to appeal to people that may have a certain budget and are looking for a very nice cue that suits them in that particular price range. Let the man do his business the way he wants, and try to accept that everything doesn't have to go your way all the time, and be in presentation in your preferred format.

DEAN :) - You have me curious as to what you have available. I'm always on the lookout for something special or interesting, and I could possibly trade with you in that price range. Just thought I would toss in a different perspective on the situation, but to cover my own perspective - I happen to like Dean's style, direct, to the point, and for those that are shopping that area an IDEAL way to let them feel confident about asking a few questions and at the very least you would have my interest in what you had to offer.

Kevin :smile: - Sorry if I seemed a bit harsh, but lighten up, it's a good possibility that Dean may also like to maintain a more "personal relationship" with his clients (meaning get to know their tastes and being able to make appropriate suggestions). Also his clients may even feel welcomed to call to say "hello," but also do some business or just to check in from time to time to see what he has. We're all visual people, but what's the harm in sending a PM and asking for information? Your going to get pictures in the email anyway. Besides it starts things off on the right foot....... Shows a little flare and got my curiosity way up.

I myself also prefer to see pix, but with Dean, I enjoy much more talking with him about cues this and that....he is knowledgeble and an extremely nice person to talke to, I reside in Taiwan but after the first phone call I made to him I flew half the globe to see him in person.

Give Dean a call, no harm and if you're a serious buyer you'll find plenty of joy and good deals!!:wink:

Dean is great. Cue pimps call and just and say you know him? Unbelievable! Who does he do it? Everytime ! No pictures! And they always say, I just don't believe it.
Well back when the old guy used to sell cues there was no internet. No pictures. Just his word.
He is still here and his word is still as good as any picture.

Nick is putting me in a whole new perspective,it is time for me to retire.

I am not putting any cue names on here at bargain prices because the cues I have
are not the kind that are at such discounts on an ongoing basis and I don't wish
to imply that they can usually be obtained at discounts ,they can't be.

To Matty,I forgot about you coming that far to see me,I do know Matty is a great customer who likes new South West cues.Matty gave me some nice tips and Tiawonese pastries as well on that trip.

You guys please just call,either buy or don't buy,if you don't require a lot of pictures and service you can get an unusual bargain.Any cue you don't like,you return for full price and everybody is happy.Only 1 guy returned a cue in all these years.

I see Kevin is behaving nicely,if he calls I will remove him from my list and sell him a cue with no hard feelings.


I have 3 of Mike Cochrans,Tim Scruggs last cues,being finished by Searing,Haley and South West,Laurie Franlin with proceeds to go to the widow.When they are finished I am considering an auction with all the great collectors,if you guys have any ideas let me hearfrom you.
Imagine owning a cue by Scruggs,Cochran and Searing,how does it hit? Only you will know.

How about a Haley,Cochran,Scruggs...one and only one,imagine having such a piece of cue making history?

Or how about a Southwest,Cochran ,Scruggs and not just any cue but one on the lathe when Mike passed away.South West and Cochran,Hoppe Style.You can be the only one in the world to have a cue like this. How many times have you heard someone wish they had a cue like the old Ivory jointed Hoppe style cues fron the north east that played like the famous South West?

I shamelessly promote these because it will help Connie Cochran and the kids,who wouldn't want a cue like this?and for the cause too.

Keebee,long time no see,I don't read as much as I used too,but it was always fun to see your post.
It might be 3 lucky guys get one cue each,these will certainly be unique pieces of history. Imagine the questions,such as how does the East meets West cue hit?Like a southwest or a Scruggs/Cochran,both have huge followings and many claim each is the best hit,so what will this co operation cue play like?Better?Who knows,but someone will find out
