I've had a dream for the last year.
To buy a motorhome and run around the country teaching Perfect Aim. Also I love to play and would get to play alot of pool.
My dream has changed a little bit though in the last 4 months.
A Perfect Aim Pool Tour.
These would be tournaments that any pro can play in and any amatuer can play in. It would be alot of fun for players of all skill levels.
I'm not going to go into specifics but it will be handicapped with players racing to 4,5,6,7,8 or 9. It will be designed so all the great league players out there that I have met all over the country can compete with anyone. It will be designed so that every single pool player that can hold a stick will want to get in on the fun. Any player that sneaks in under the radar at a lesser rate will be immediately banned .
I want to design a tournament that every league play in the area will want to get in. And I think I know how to do it being a player myself and running successful tournaments in my own establishment for 12 years.
The prize money will not be touched. I don't know how much added money there would be because I havn't gotten that far yet. Maybe there won't be any. Could that work? I don't know.
But what good does it do to add 2,000 if you take 2,000 out or even 1,000. This won't happen here for sure.
Anyway, I bought the motorhome. I call it Home, Home on the Road. It's not fancy and it's not new but it's a start.
I'm not blowing smoke and I'm as serious as a heart attack. Hopefully I don't have one.
I am contacting sponsors right now for cues and other equipment. These will be tournaments that will be full because I will help the poolroom owners fill them. It will get done. The very first one will probably have a waiting list to get in towards the end.
I would be shooting for nothing less than a field of 96 players if the room can handle it.
I'm making a list of poolrooms on the path I plan on taking right now. I plan on heading south as soon as it gets cold so there won't be any in the north country. I'd like to plan about 10 tournaments. One every 2 or 3 weeks. Maybe once a month. Not sure yet. In 3 months though I will be sure.
And maybe this won't happen at all but I'm a pretty determined type of guy and I love the game.
Just have to see where this dream of mine will take us all.
Thanks for reading everyone..... Geno.................
PS It needs alot of work. Repair generator, cab AC doesn't work, fridge only works on propane right now, carb needs to be rebuilt but when it's done I'll know what I got.
Home, Home on the Road..............I think a big 8 ball or 9 ball will look good on that big bare spot between windows?
I think I can pull this off and make it successful for everyone that loves the game for the game.............
But the Sweetest part of the whole thing would be I can teach between tournaments. And I'm starting to enjoy teaching as much as playing. Win, win situation sharing pool knowledge with everyone. .
