A disclaimer: I have worked in research and development. I was trained to not overstate what isn't proven. What is written below is much what I would have said to a fellow worker after giving something a short test. It isn't a ringing endorsement or a condemnation, just a write up of some of my very early test results. A long winded way of saying I haven't tested Gene's techniques enough to have a firm opinion about them and what they would do for my game. OK, on to my quick look at "Perfect Aim":
I can't give a fair review after working with Gene's "techniques" for lack of a better word for about an hour. I don't like to call it a system because that calls up reminders of all of the aiming system threads and this is something considerably different and shouldn't be lumped into that category.
One reason I am uncomfortable giving a review this soon is that I am always compelled to test alternatives and I got sidetracked from working with his techniques. Another is that it seems that I will have to work for awhile if Perfect Aim is going to work for me. Shots that looked badly "wrong" compared to the way I am accustomed to seeing them went into the center of the pocket like they were on a rail. Shots that looked badly "wrong" compared to the way I am accustomed to seeing them indeed missed pockets by a mile. Basically the same shot different times got wildly different results.
Other times I was very impressed that a dozen or more tries at the same shot got exactly the same result over and over, especially considering it was a very tough shot. The issue when I got wildly different results is with my weak eye and some practice needed I believe. I have to note that I had very similar issues in pistol competition and also wrestled with my weak eye when I needed input from it shooting benchrest rifle competition. It would be unfair to judge Gene's video by the short time I have worked with it. My real issue was with the weak eye shots and those I only worked on a short period of time.
Gene's way of doing things is different and having hit several million balls using another way of doing things it is very tough for me to change methods and not be mentally fighting myself while doing it. For me the verdict is still out concerning Gene's way of doing things. I do see how it could work but for me it is going to take more than a few minutes effort on my own. More time on a table or a phone call might fix my off side issues.

Hi there Mr Hu,
Please feel free to call me anytime. Good for you. I can't say too much on the thread but I can tell you this. I know you have trouble getting down low right now because of some physical issues. Hopefully that will get better for you in the near future. The one tip I can give you is to getting lower temporarily on those shots that are more difficult for you to see will help you see what PERFECT AIM is trying to show you. Give me a call 715-563-8712. It would be fun to work with you one on one. I wish I could be there in person but the speaker phone is the next best thing.
I can explain this though. This is kind of my way of explaining how and why PERFECT AIM can be so effective in a relatively short time. Pretend there were only about 20 people left on this island. For some reason they were all trying to eliminate each other. And for some reason only one person that was left standing would be the winner and would be allowed off the island. They all found a rifle. They all thought the only way to shoot it was to hold it down be their hip like the rifleman. They didn't realise that they could put their head over the gun and see the target at a longer range. So in the meantime they all kept at a distance that they knew was fairly safe. Let's say about 100 yards. Every once in awhile someone would get lucky and shoot someone even at that distance but not very often. After about a month the number of people on the island was down to 16 because 4 people got hit by lucky shots from the hip. Then one day 5 of the people on the island that were kind of closer to each other discovered that they could move their head over the gun and they could be more accurate with their shots. Soon they were able to pick off the other people that thought they were safe at the 100 yards. Now they were down to 5 people but they all knew now that the safe distance for them now was about 150 yards. This went on for about a month and someone did get lucky and did pick off somebody at the 150 yards so now they were down to 4 people. The last 4 stayed about 200 yards away from each other and seemed to feel really safe. Everything was going fine until one day one person made an amazing discovery. He could put the gun up under one of his eyes and could be fairly accurate. So accurate that he picked off the final 3 people. Because of his great discover he could now get off the island and live happily ever after.
This is exactly how it is in the pool world as we can kind of compare this to a pool tournament or even a competition for money. GAMBLING. The person that can naturally do this better can win most of the time. In the tournament this person would usually be the last one standing except someone that doesn't aim as well could get lucky and win or out manuever the other player. Sounds like some of the tournaments we've all been in. We all know who should win but sometimes some of the players are just seeing the shots good that day and defeat this top player. This is where Perfect Aim comes in. It will teach you how to get the eyes in the more correct position so you can see each shot in the most perfect manner and defeat your opponent. This is what it is all about. This is what we all strive for, to improve our games for competition whether it be cash game, tournament or league play. We spend $1000.00 of dollars for better equipment to try and improve this game we all are addicted too and love. There are all kinds of gadgets that will give you an edge and sometimes this little difference is the amount that helps that person win the competition.
PERFECT AIM can teach a person so much in such a short period of time that some people that call me just can't believe how easy it was to improve their game so quickly. If you could spend $70.00 to help you win one extra game in a race to 7 all the time that would be so huge. How many tournaments or league nights or money matchups would that have alowed you to win or have a chance to win over the years.
Example. I've been in Denver for about 2 1/2 weeks now. A young man took me to a place last night to have me play someone. I got in a game of nine ball with probably the best player there for $200.00 a game. The young man that took me there was a little afraid if I could play for the cash because he has taken people there before and lost with good players that just fell apart when the money got bigger. My little match didn't last very long. I knew this young man played very well so I knew I had to really bear down. It was on a diamond table with pretty tough pockets. There was no room for error. The match lasted about 20 games or so. I ended up winning $800.00. I know if this young man I played knew PERFECT AIM it would be really hard to defeat him the next time. He has the heart of a champion but the difference was only 2 shots in our shrt match. If I miss only 2 shots and lose those 2 games we would still be even. That is amazing only 2 shots. The Perfect Aim vedeo for $70.00 is so small and to think that those 2 less missed shots can make such a huge difference on who is going to win or lose.
The young man that took me there has alot of heart. I've been giving the PERFECT AIM lesson in Denver and he has seen me giving these lessons to everyone and never asked me for a lesson. I've been real busy giving lessons that I guess I just never asked him if he would like to learn PERFECT AIM. Well let me tell you. He jumped up after my game was over and played this young champion for $500.00 a game. He was getting the wild 5 ball but still I could see that this is a kid that has a ton of heart also. He asked me politely if I wanted half of the action and I declined stating to him that he knew how he was matching up and he was pretty sure he had the best of it and I would be happy to watch. I didn't want to hoard in on what could have been a big score for him. They played until 5:30 in the morning. The difference of the match was 4 games and they played for 7 hours. My friend that I went there with lost 4 games that cost him $2000.00 dollars. As I was watching the match I wished I could have taken him over to another table and showed him PERFECT AIM right then because I knew it would have helped him immediately. But I didn't because there was no time. He was in the heat of the battle.
On the way home we discussed PERFECT AIM. Guess who's getting a lesson today. A day late and $2000.00 later.
I was going to leave Denver this next wednesday but these guys are going to play again next Friday. I'm going to stay for this and see if my young friend wants to split the action with me after he gets the Perfect Aim lesson. Chances are he won't but I think I want to go watch this match anyway and see what a difference Perfect Aim will make.
I know that the difference for sure will be at least $2000.00. And I'm almost sure my friend will win next Friday and I am willing to put my mouth and money where my PERFECT AIM is. How's that for a statement. I will report the outcome after next Friday even if I have to leave Denver before.
For me it was a great night. I got to test my nerves with the bet up higher than I've played for in 11 years after having quit for 10 years because of my health. The conditions were real tough with benches on both sides of the table that customers were constantly getting up and down on. When the cue ball was on the rail you had to have them move so you could shoot. And then they would try to move only as little as possible. Sometimes I would go back to sit in me chair and my spot was gone. At the head rail end of the table was the waitress station and the space that everyone had to walk through. The man that was staking the young man I was playing was kind of drunk and would get in my face between shot and even complained to me when I had to use the bathroom. These were the toughest conditions that I think I ever play with in my entire life and I passed the test in flying colors. I only missed 2 balls in the hour or so that we played my friend pointed out. One of them I was distracted and the other was just a real difficult shot.
I guess\ the rest of the story will happen after next friday. Give me a call 715-563-8712 Thanks again Geno.............
