Perfect Aim

Spider - Ok.
And I think its great people want to help, and Coco is who started it...
and a lot of people came forward and that is what we need to hold on to.
People learn from many different styles, what works for one won't work for the next.
If Gene wants to charge $80.00 and people are willing to pay that much good for him.
I just wanted to pass along my information at a fair price.
Mark

Mark,

As I mentioned earlier... I never knocked your DVD or even referred to it. I'm sure it's super well done. I think what has people's panties in a bunch (i.e. Cocobutter) is that Gene HAS charged $80 for his DVD and many people were happy paying it. For Coco, he wasn't happy... never paid it...begged for a free copy... and then declined the donation when Gene offered it to him (which is like a 3 year old, imo).

Then R2D2 chimes in about whoever needs a DVD on aiming should quit pool and now I'm on internet-tilt lmfao. It just seems like these guys know EVERYTHING. Who cares how much a DVD is? If it's 100, $200, whatever. Either you buy it and are happy or you don't... but never knock the guy selling it when there is a huge thread on here with many happy clients (me included). Given, for me... it took a while before I clicked but it clicked nonetheless.

Just a lot of hating mo-fos in here who can't wait to get in line to knock. If someone is afraid to pull the trigger to spend $80 that could potentially help their game, then they either must play like God, be flat broke or feel like they already aim perfectly fine (which is ok).

Like I said... if you're going to support a cause like the Boys and Girls Club.... accept all donations.... don't be the donation filter for them-- let THEM decide.

I'll leave it at that...I'm gonna go watch ontherail and FastLenny

Dave

you said you were a C+ player...so you lied???

HELLOO! Hes charging 80$ for a DVD thats under a hour long!!!!!! thats a ripoff Period......sorry for you if you payed for it.

i asked him if hed send me a copy so i could review the disc and send it back to him when im done....but he didnt respond.
id like to see what its about, but im not sending some guy $80 for it. and ill continue to nock any dvd that has a $80 price tag

EXACTLY! And at times, because different people understand things differently, you have to be able to say the same thing different ways in order to get the point across.

This is why I dont understand the one dvd is enough stuff. But of course Im kinda strange, when I want to learn about something I search out different sources to gain information.

Rep to you Mark.

I'd chime in here but Spidey pretty much say's what I was thinking about Coco and R2D2!

Nice job Dave, you made my night my friend!

there have been many great pool players that have put years and years of knowledge into HOURS of dvd's that you can pick up for 20-30 bucks. 80 bucks is way too much IMHO

Bingo!

the DVD would be worth that $80 price if it had Earl Strickland and Mikie Segal and SVB hosting it, with Shanelle Loraine dancing on a pole in the background the whole time, and was about 4 hrs long.....but im almost positive that none of these things are in it.

its just some guy that plays pretty good rehashing information that could very well been in instructional books for years....putting it on DVD, giving people very slight descriptions of whats actually on the DVD, and then selling it for $80....

it reminds me of those stupid infomercials on late at night with people bragging about how they got rich......and thats all they talk about, next thing you know some dumbass charged his card for 3 payments of 49.99 and he doesnt even know what he bought.

i need to get ahold of those guys and see if they are interested .
maybee ill get Ridley Scott to direct the thing and have pixar ad some explosions/effects to it.

Sounds like you need to relax man.... I dont think the video would be a good fit for you. I think if it was given to you for free, you wouldn't give it a fair chance.

Good luck on your game.

You're missing my point. You giving your club ONE DVD isn't providing them with material. You give them ONE cue too? I think you're letting your ego get in the way of helping your club. You should be extending your hands to any and all people/companies who want to support your project --- not shun them because they didn't give you a free DVD when you begged for one earlier.

Need not worry the BGCMP got more than you could imagine in a dream, plus some of the pool player locally have step forward to do clinics for the BGCMP, they are very happy, and their pool dream list is now a reality.

Are you an A player!?? I'm a C+ player, but my friends say I'm getting better all the time.

Could your friend just be stroking your EGO? MAYBE?

It is sad that some who not value the free exchange of information, and opinion want only there options posted, and agreed with.

I'm sure many have tried this. What do you think?

IMHO 80 BUCKS is too much money for an AIMING SYSTEM DVD!

Bingo you got it right Jerry Briesath's DVD is another TOP NOTCH BASIC Pool Instructional DVD under $20.00.

I have a tremendous amount of respect for Jerry, and your right, his basic dvd is a GREAT value and one of the best on the market! That being said, I have worked with Jerry along with several other top instructors. Many of them went over the same information and I knew that going in, I just wanted to hear it explained differently to give me a wider base to be able to explain it to different people.

None of the instructors I studied under or any of the countless books and videos I have read and watched have ever touched on what Gene is presenting.

It has been said before, and really sums it up. If you dont think its worth 80 bucks, then dont buy it. Giving an opinion is one thing, jumping on every thread to put down what someone is offering without having a clue as to what its about is another thing. And you obviously dont have a clue because your still insisting its an "aiming system".

Anyone that thinks Spider is a "C" player has not payed attention to any of the other threads or conversations that have gone on in these boards  (I know thats what he said, and it was more than a little sarcastic)

When did you try it?

another opinion lol

I have been following this thread without commenting up until this point. Plus, i have been reading the perfect aim thread too.

First, cocopuff and rc3po or whatever your screen names are, you 2 are unbelievable! Did mommy not breast feed u guys or something???? All you 2 do is knock, knock, knock, who are you 2 anyway? The pool dvd police? Gene has a product, he contributes frequently here on the forums, he seems genuine to me to want to help people get better. Maybe his dvd is high priced, but you know what? This is america, land of the free, and if he gets that for his dvd, good for him! Capitalism at it's best.

Cocopuff, you just show your ignorance by knocking something you haven't even tried, or seen! Amazing stupidity on your part! Why do you and r3po give a shit if someone you don't know would spend 80 on genes dvd? It's none of your business!!! Especially seeing how you haven't even seen the dvd. Have you priced scott lee's lessons? Or any other bca master instructor? 80 is cheap if it helps. If it doesn't, i"m sure that 80 was ok with whoever bought it.

You guys just need to keep your shitty, negative comments to yourselves. My mom told me a long time ago, if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all. Which is really funny, because i'm kind of violating that saying now. Lol, but i've got a bleeding tongue from biting it for so long now.

Plus, i know i have the right to remain silent, but in this case i just didn't have the ability!!!! Rock on gene!

P.s, i haven't seen genes dvd, but i will probably check it out soon. I figure it's worth 2 rounds of golf lol

So did you buy the DVD, and if so is it great? or are you just guessing. Plus BTW I did talk personally to a Phoenix Student who took a lesson, and bought the DVD that after 20 minute on the telephone said "he saw shots differently". Guess I was not impressed.

Here is a LINK to a BCA Instructor on U-tube. He even teaches his Aiming System.

Dave already reviewed the DVD as have other reputable forum members and it has been favorable, your new here and your words are not going to be worth much unless your a champion and I am not talking league champion.

I think the DVD is worthwhile depending on what your trying to accomplish. Some of us are playing 1 or more tournaments a week and gamble alot so if you learn one thing to help your game you will get it back and then some in one set or tourney. I personally have not seen the DVD but have met Gene and also have heard from people who have had Gene work with them and they improved. I know that Cowboy is rated a 5 in Arizona which translates to a D player and perhaps he might not benefit from the DVD. I think in pool some get it and improve and will become strong B or A players and others can play for life and not get there.

The big thing is to enjoy the game, I enjoy the game much more when I play it well and I am improving. Even if your not a tournament player or gambler you can benefit from this if you want to play better and have more fun or are playing in leagues.

I watched the advanced copies of Mikas set and picked up a handful of things to use, perhaps others might learn a bit more and some less. Some people might be doing what Gene is doing already and others who are stuck in a rut might have a break through. Don't knock Genos stuff until you try it, some people have bought it and it works for them and was money well spent.
