I can put the shaft in my Unique Cue Maker Lathe and cut a tenon, thread it, glue on the ferrule using epoxy and white pigment, in less time than it takes me to turn on the CNC, load the program, adjust the depth, and cut the tenon. Now I still need to thread it, glue on the ferrule, trim it to shaft size, and install the tip and I do all this without taking the shaft out of the lathe.
I guess if you were doing a batch of 100 shafts there might be some time savings using a CNC machine to cut the tenon but using my Unique Cue Maker lathe is the fastest way for ME to install ferrules. (Oh Yeah ... of course they are perfect) :clapping:
