Philippine Open

And you'd prob get a response in the vein of:
Get over it. Shoot. Times a ticking.
If that's their response then I'll get a ref or tournament director involved. If that doesn't do anything then I'll be non-stop moving in my chair any time they are at the table. If he doesn't like that then we can have further words outside and away from the establishment, as to not disrupt the tournament. Passive aggressiveness only makes you look lame.

Is it just me or were there an insane number of "chokes" in this tournament?

Duong, De Luna, Bustamante (although he ended up getting the rack), Gorst, Shaw (twice) all missed extremely easy, critical shots on the last two balls and that's just the ones I remember. I feel like there have been way more than any other event in recent memory.
That is what prompted my " 4 inch pockets and wet tables is not a good combo for good pool" comment, more easy balls missed than several tournaments combined. Frankly it it was league night like.

I think you both have the right to fidget all you want.

Now, it certainly can cross the line into sharking territory. I don't see towel-jacking a cue or foot tapping as that, unless it can be found to have some strategic timing.

People are weirdos.

From the wntlivescores match lists, 128 people were listed to play in the event, of whom 84 were Filipinos. 29 people did not play any match, of whom 25 were Filipinos. So the actual field of players was 99 -- 59 Filipinos and 40 from elsewhere.

I think there's a certain amount of etiquette went on. Big spread, don't make a pig of yourself. Shopping mall too. The normalcy probably has a lulling effect.

Of those Filipinos (I get 57), 36 had established Fargo Rating(group A), 13 preliminary (B) , and 8 brand new (C)

Final 32: 14A, 2B, 1C
Final 16: 9A, 1B, 0C
Final 8: 4A, 0B, 0C

My calc: 84 Filipinos listed in Round 1; 27 no-shows in Round 1 in total, of whom 23 were Filipinos; and 2 no-shows in Round 2 (Reyes and Peralta, who did not play in Round 1). So 84 - 23 - 2 = 59.

I just want to know how much money was on the line lol

Pretty large step from first to second. And a number of people with zero wins got their entry back ($500).

Probably the toughest tables the pros have played on this year. The corner pockets were even less forgiving than the Diamond Pros. And the side pockets were non existent from any severe angle.
