pinning

Pinning, Winning, and Grinning is only the Beginning.

Yesterday, I was "grinning", "pinning", and "winning" while my opponent was "spinning".

I was beating him at a rate of about 4-5 games to 1.

Aloha.

.....and it's only the "Beginning". ;)

You sir, are quite unique !...You are one of the very few, who can possibly make any sense of his endless ramblings about Yoga, martial arts, zen, morality, and whatever else he claims to be an expert at !..Even his attempts at anything pool related, are so 'off the wall'. he cannot adequately explain them to anyone !

He may have beaten a few good player's, but any one of them can give him the five out, when it comes to puting "how to play pool", into words that ANYONE can understand !..I admire his persistence, and I have no problem with his trying to make a buck off people like you !.. But it looks like he would eventually realize he is NOT, or never will be, a "pool instructor" !

PS.In fact, in an honest poll..'Cocabola Cowboy' may edge him out, at teaching anyone how to play pool ! ;)

You have 'bored. me for the last time CJ... Adios, and carry on !

I thought you were "bored"/done 4 pages ago???

I thought so, talk is cheap, but once the money is put up SJD runs for the hills. ...So no one in the world will accept my challenge because WHY? I use different terminology? You really want to take that position?

Yes..I REALLY am taking that position !..I wish there was a way to prove it,..I would empty you out so fast, your head would be "pinning" ! (probably your hammer too)

What does that mean?

I'll tell you 'What it Means' ! ..It is nothing short of amazing that you cannot see that 95% of the respondents to this thread, are making fun of you and your indecipherable way with words!..And there are thousands more, who just don't want to waste their time telling you !..I also find it amazing, that you have fed and clothed yourself all your life, without being aware of that fact ! :sorry:

PS..In response to posts #124 and 125...I'll admit, I am weak when I see a chance to offer salvation, to a poor lost soul !...Mr.Rose..is the word "sloot", a Wiley-ism ?..Thankfully, you don't post often, but when you do, I've noticed you make even less sense, than Mr. Wiley !...Are you related ? :p :p :p

Hank Haney and I worded together for 2 years - he taught me the most advanced golf swing and I showed him the pro fundamentals of the pool stroke and intricacies of the game BEFORE Tiger Woods hired him to be his swing coach. Hank actually tells one of our stories in his book 'The Big Miss' about one of my pool philosophies and how he passed it on to Tiger.

MORE ABOUT HANK CLICK THIS LINK

Hank Haney is an American professional golf instructor best known for coaching Tiger Woods and two-time major championship winner Mark O'Meara. A graduate of the University of Tulsa, Haney owns and operates four teaching facilities in the Dallas, Texas area.
Haney says, "My philosophy as a teacher is to teach my students to become their own best teacher by getting them to understand the flight of the golf ball and how it relates to the swing, with emphasis on swinging the golf club on their own correct swing plane".
Haney changed Tiger Woods' swing from an upright to a flatter golf swing. His wrist cock is much less obvious than it was with his old coach Butch Harmon. Woods' swing is much more around his body, Haney tries to get his students to swing on the same plane angle which the golf club is on at address.
In 2008, Haney started working with former NBA star and current NBA analyst Charles Barkley on the Golf Channel's The Haney Project: Charles Bark...CLICK LINK ABOVE FOR MORE ON HANK HANEY

If Tiger had stayed with Butch, Jacks record would be distant in his rear view mirror ,, he won 8 in five yrs with Butch many of the Blowing away the field and 6 in six yrs with Hank none by more than 3 strokes ,,
The fact remains their is no comparing the two swings on any level ,,

Actually Golf and Pool are very similar at the highest levels. One day I'll outline 5-10 of them, for now, here's a video that HANK HANEY explains how the shots are similar.

Completely agree. Poor Butch broke Tiger Rule #1 though, (NOBODY in my circle can have a persona/ego as large as mine) and paid the price. Same as Fluff, Haney, and Stevie Williams. As soon as people start to know the guys in Tiger's inner circle by name (or more to the point, they start to profit on their own as a result of being in Tiger's inner circle), he bounces them. Time for the new "swing change, etc." He screwed up bouncing Butch, though (as you correctly pointed out). Doesn't matter if you can't stand they guy, he brought out the best in Tiger and made him an absolute KILLER! Should have sucked it up and made it work because they were as close to unbeatable as anybody has ever been in golf. The guy was winning major championships by double digits...UNREAL!

I used to give you the benefit of the doubt and even stuck up for you at one point in time, as I used to respect your game in the 90s. But your actions and words here have shown your true colors quite clearly.
Your "neuro-linguistics" (ie bullshitting ability) have run their course, so you really shouldnt act so "supr-eyes-ed" that you are experiencing push back in your sales approach.

Butch and Hank have different styles, however.............

Actually Tiger's performance improved under Hank....not in every category, however, his game certainly got more solid from tee to green. I have all the statistics, maybe I'll post them if anyone's interested.

Butch and Hank have different styles, however, you have to take into account that Tiger had to keep growing and changing and he had hit a wall with Butch......I know the feeling, it's impossible to stay the same, the universal law dictates that we are either growing or dying.....expanding or retracting, getting better, or getting worse. Dick,

The 95% you speak of are the same dozen that follow CJ around in every thread he posts in. Their teeth are permanently fixed in his derriere like a chain of chihuahuas trailing behind him. It's no secret who they are, so name them instead of using a 95% moniker.

Sadly, the other 5%, who would like to carry on a conversation, can't and won't. Also, the thousands you speak of, that are too respectful to engage CJ, should also be listed, here.

So, whoever wants to tell CJ he's a complete $#*&^%%$, go ahead and post. This would prove your statistics and be recorded in pool history. It would end all doubt and avoid many pointless arguments that are surely coming in the future.

After this revelation, we should be able to get back to some sort of discussion about the magical stroke phenomena we know nothing about.

Best,
Mike

I would have to see the numbers to be convinced. He won the Masters by 12 freakin' shots and the US Open (at Pebble) when he was the only player in the field under par and he was DOUBLE digits under par. That was all under Butch. He never lapped the field like that under Haney. Maybe he got a bit more consistent in his all around game, but he was NEVER as dominant when he was "on" like he was under Butch. The guy was a machine when he was locked in in those days. Players pissed down their legs and were literally scared of him and knew they were playing for 2nd place when he showed up for a tourney.

Let me clue you in ,, there is only 1 category that matters to Tiger and that's Major wins
Period point blank
There is no one on this earth that's a better instructer than Harmon and most if not all golf experts ,, no not you ,, agree on 2 things Tiger should have never left Butch and Tiger should go back to Butch if he has any inclination of catching Jack

Mike, I know you from the other site, and know you to be a very rational person !..I believe you missed my point. I was not trying to infer that 95% of the forum did not like CJ..(or a dozen, for that matter)..I was saying that 95% "of the comments" were negative with regards to his 'way with words'...There is a big difference ! ..Would you care to hazard a guess, as to WHO has kept these stroke-oriented threads alive, with his HUNDRED'S of posts ?

As for your last paragraph...It appears quite obvious, that discussion's on that subject, are going the way of the 'aiming system' fiascos (ie; wars)...I submit that CJ, has almost single-handedly brought that about..His futile attempts to "verbalize and create new words", only tend to prove that the finer points of the game, can ONLY be taught by a qualified instructor, over a real live pool table !..There are some things the "information, or digital age", will NEVER be able to accommodate ! ;)

Best to you,
Dick

maybe Butch Harmon was a better "corner man" for Tiger.

Tiger was new on the scene and had a tremendous amount of momentum with Butch.

I'm not taking anything away from Butch, however, I doubt if he's the best fundamental swing coach, maybe he was a better "corner man" for Tiger.

Hank is in a class by himself when it comes to swing mechanics and understanding how the body produces the ideal swing plane.

Of course many golfers will have their own opinion, there are other golf instructors I know in Houston that are as good as Butch, Hank and Leadbetter in their own way too.
