In fact, if I was so bigoted, why would I have gone out to dinner with Ike Runnels at the KOH tournament? Why would I have sat with him in the crowd and met and visited with his black friend alone for a half hour? And why would I have played next to him in the practice room, and joked around with him and used his equipment? Spetty, Colin, Stan, and Tammy Jones can all attest to this. I think you are bigoted against IPTers and supporters.

Been a bit busy with a league start date in 3 days. Website, posters, t-shirts, ref-training and lots of stuff to get done.
Also waiting for the sun to come back for some nice shots of my skyline view. Soon enough I'll get my assistant over, who has the camera, for some pics.
btw: I've got a wooden floor...but plan to put some carpet down.

To Linda: On your side here. Macguy's biggest argument is to claim that others are incapable of the 'honesty' that somehow only he can see. People post pics of all kinds of people in stupid, embarressing situations. Coz one is white, another black, another asian or hispanic etc. does not indicate any racist intent. It merely indicates that all types of people can do funny things or look funny.
If he simply condemed silly people pictures in general as derogatory and bigoted then he would have a 'square' foot to stand on.(note: Seems harmless entertainment to me). But to infer racist intent out of such triviality identifies him as absurdly politically correct....a victim of double-speak propaganda.
I want to add that Linda has not only been a breath of fresh and warm-hearted air to these boards of late, but she carries the same air in person. I polite person who had a disagreement with her would raise the issue politely or in private, not malign her so aggressively.
Honesty is an interesting thing. To many honesty is nothing more then the lie they haven't been caught in.

The pictures could not be bigoted as that would be endowing them with a human quality, so the only inference any reader can make out is that you are calling me bigoted. Following posts from you would also lead us to believe your hallucination.

macguy, please drop it. Linda is far from racist. I've never seen any kind of racism on this board, only civilised discussions regarding regional idioms.
If you want to see some racism, go to RSB where Fast Larry has called Debra (straybullet), Jeanette Lee, and me all sorts of derogatory names. I don't even post there; it was called to my attention. (The funny thing is that Fast Larry had just spoken with me and given me his business card this past summer in Jacksonville.)
I've found that the people who are actually racists and bigots aren't going to hide it over the internet, though some are nice to your face.

I dont understand what the big deal is all about. As an Asian woman (and I'm sure Mawissa and Winda will agwee with me) most of the racism and bigotry comes from our own people against our own people. With that being said, I think that Linda was trying to inject a little humor with her avatar (no crime in that, is there?) I hope not. If anybody was offended then they could have said something privately. Recently somebody accused ny screen name of having a gang related origin. Some people just say things to piss other people off. I try to be funny in my posts, and it is mainly because I used to be very abrasive and I caught a lot of hell for it. I have received more hell for trying to be funny and trying to make people smile. I don't know what's wrong with these forums. They cant keep locking every single thread. Its getting ridiculous. People snapping back and forth, getting mad at stupid words on a screen. I'm guilty of it to. So with that in mind... I would ike to lead everbody in a chorus of one of my favorite songs....

Most is a result of ignorance and it can't be tolerated even in it's most innocent form. Ask James Byrd or Matthew Shepard. (I am afraid they can't answer). These things are taught and it starts young. Don't expect people to change it can be very ingrained especially in some older people and in most cases they don't even recognize it in themselves. The use of a phrase the look in one's eye, it's there the hate, prejudice, bigotry, you should rail against it when ever it raises it ugly head. If that make me a bad guy then I am in pretty good company.

Why are you so quick to notice the color of a person's skin and not just see the people in the pictures as fellow humans Macguy? Racism will continue to exist in this world until people like you stop seeing people as different and categorizing them based on those differences.
