Tyler Edey not playing in this thing?
Plus, I don't even see Mika which makes little sense nor SVB.
No Busta, no Orcollo, no Gomez, no Luat, no Alcano. No Taiwanese players at all it seems, how about Yu Lun Wu, Chia Ching Wu, Po Kou?
ATM the field is missing a slew of good players that I would expect to come to a major annual pool event. The battles I would want to see as a spectator are most definately not happening atm with this field.
If I were Charlie W I think I would be trying my best to get alot of the world class players that are not comming atm to the tourney. It would be in the best interest of Dragon Promotions, the Riviera, and the BCA to get the best field possible and with that in mind you would think that for world champion level players the people setting up the event should be able to work with the Riviera and swing very cheap room deals for the players in the pro event to minimalize their costs as there is going to be alot of return on the minimal investment of getting them to Vegas for the event both now, and most definately in the future. Offering the Riviera a small kickback from the gate (vip passes, general entry) of the pro event would make them more commited to the tourney being as well represented as possible and thus make it more possible to create a synergy with them to get the pro's from all over the world the cheapest possible trip to the event so that it becomes worth their while. Pool needs to synergize with the venue like this, not just rent space but work together with the locations as much as possible and cross advertise each other to the benefit of all. CW and all other promoters need to start thinking a little bigger.
