I find this thread fascinating and wish you the best of luck in your endeavor. After reading the exchanges in this thread I'm a bit confused though on a few points.
"I never added them, just thought each rack would be 15." "The 20' and 30's are coming often."
being into the 3rd rack and then missing early or mid rack (30's). For the 20's, I'm out of the 1st rack and have a good part of the second gone. I am doing this often.
So you must be counting, adding balls?
Not counting, If I was I wouldn't have put 44. I missed 2 break balls to start the 4th rack.
"In three days I have made 44 twice. I miss the break ball both times."
"That'd be 42. Any 'break ball miss' lands on a multiple of 14." Someone pointed that out and I corrected the score.
Forgive me steev but if he started with 3 balls on the table, made 2 and ran 3 racks he could have made a 44 ball run if my math is correct?
"I thought this game was frustrating in practice. I played someone last night. My goal was to leave a ball close to the rack for breaking. Their goal was to get all the easy balls and leave the hardest shot till the end."
Sometimes we mere mortals have to play within our own game. I may have to shoot the break ball or balls to run out and stop you. Might not be the smartest thing to do but I might not have a choice. Against you I'd be giving up what, another 20 balls at least right? He can pot ok, just would leave crazy balls for breaking out the rack. He started to leave better balls.
Running in the 40's in just a few days; I'm impressed. Have to ask; 7, 8, or 9 foot table?
