Please Vote my "Ellen Degeneres" Video

A coworker made a special video for me, in case I wanted to share with my pool friends to fight the Scooter Kid and his voter bot, but I'm not sure if it's the right move. Two wrongs don't make a right, I guess.

Check it out, though, just in case you or anybody else may be interested! :grin-devilish:

Demo for Jennie!

We shouldn't cheat because he is.
If Ellen wants to have a scooter riding juggler on her show.... have at it and good luck with getting an audience. There ain't 67k people looking to see the kid. Prob his immediate family with bot software. There's your audience, Ellen.

Here is the one the little p rick is probably using.
http://www.squidoo.com/votemacro

If you read it or scroll down a bit, you will see that there is a Voting Bot
Add On for Fire Fox.

I will add it after work today. It may be easier to use than Work Space Macro and it isn't a trial so it won't run out.

Have fun guys and girls.

I'd much rather watch a talented young man display his skills set on a field of green than a twit juggling cupcakes on wheels.

If anyone uses a vote macro it CAN disqualify Steve. (im not saying anyone did, just letting you all know) Most of these types of contests have software that pick up on voting macro's. In the contest I am in for phillips 66 it even says in the rules any voting macro's will get you disqualified.

Hopefully this scooter kid will get caught. The best thing we can do is play by the rules and vote our ass off.

In the time I was following the thread before work, the kids votes moved up approx 400 votes and then moved up by 1000 votes there after.

Altho I dislike cheaters, sometimes you fight fire with fire.
I would hate to see Trick Shots get disqualified for using Bots tho.

Well, the reason I said it "CAN" get him disqualified is that I dont know for sure. I cant find the rules on this contest. Just putting out a warning that in other contests it has led to people getting DQ'ed.

The site is designed far too poorly to have such detection.

However if we cheat and the scooter kid cheats, half a million votes is going to throw up so many red flags that the pogo girl will win by default.

At this point I feel any effort will be best served by contacting the Ellen website and notifying them that the scooter kid is cheating, and for us to return to more ethical voting practices.

EDIT. I also recommend removing the link to the Youtube video that shows how to cheat. If the scooter kid has Googled himself, he'll have found this thread and will have the necessary proof to have Steve disqualified. Better yet, remove the Youtube video completely as well.

Well, I am writing a letter to the Ellen producers and asking for them to respectfully consider allowing you to make a cameo appearance on the show. I'm a really, really good letter writer, too!

Heck, yeah. I'm going to work on the letter this weekend. I need to make it concise but entertaining, so that it proves to be worthy enough to maybe get Ellen's assistants to pass it on to her. Ellen has a good heart! :smiling-heart:

No sir. I'll be at the Open, but that's it until the New Year. Too busy working on a new project to be flying around. :p

I'd wish you good luck....but it's Vegas. You'll have fun either way.

Dryden and Nathan are right. I said that I disliked cheaters but sometimes you have to fight fire with fire.

I guess in the long run its better to play fair and even if you lose (which I doubt if Ellen gets wind of the voting) its better to lose than to know we cheated.
Even tho I think it would have been fun to vote bomb the little P rick Meister.

I still say the easiest Vote Bot to use is the Fire Fox add on.

I have to say that this thread was really exciting for me. We all rallied around one of our own, wanting to see him win the contest. The comaraderie on this thread was very cool.

We may have our differences of opinion about a variety of pool topics, as evidenced on this forum from time to time, but when it comes to supporting pool, we all stepped up to the plate.

Steve will get the nod to get on the show next year sometime, and he's one of us, an AzBilliards' member of the pool community. This thread is a win-win for me in more ways than one.

I gave ya a vote, but apparently the rest world wants to see some moron juggling on a scooter. ?!

Good luck ,, hope you make it on.
