Pooky and Bucktooth (The ETrueHollywood Story)

I'm on the phone with Pooky right now and he wants me to relay his story to everyone on what happened between him and Bucktooth.

Pooky went to California Billiards and Bucktooth asked for the 5, 7, and the breaks playing for $500 a game. Pooky asked Chohan first if he could give Bucktooth that game. Tony Chohan said "NO, but you can win some money if you do beat him." So Pooky said, "You got it Bucktooth for $500 a game."

After 5 hours or so Pooky was up $11,000.00. At that point they changed the game to 4, 7, and the breaks. With this game Bucktooth won 12 games straight in an hour. So, then they adjusted to 5, 7, 8 and the breaks. After a while Pooky was back up to around 11 or 12K ahead. Then Pooky saw Bucktooth borrow money from the owner. That is when Pooky realized that Bucktooth didn't have much more money for him to win, then Pooky said, "Lets play some tomorrow." At this point they had been playing for about 11 or 12 hours.

The next day Pooky showed up a couple of hours late and Bucktooth didn't want anymore action at 9 ball, he wanted to play one pocket. He asked for a ridiculous spot like 11-4 and the breaks or 10-4, Pooky doesn't remember exactly but it was robbery, so Pooky said, "Have a nice day." and caught a flight back to VA the next day and bought a trip to Thailand for his family with Bucktooth's money.

So there is the story, lock, stock, and barrell for those interested. Enjoy.

Great story. I remember when Pooky was a regular at Orange Ball. He's very charismatic, like Keith!

Edit: Do you know if it was "call balls"? I mean, potentially making 3 live balls in on the break is VERY huge weight. I got similar weight from Mike Davis, but we spotted all money balls that went in on the break (or accidentally).

I am sure we are gonna see a "that's not the way it went down" thread by cornfed here soon enough. There is NEVER an agreement on how someone got beat, especially a big-mouthed woofer like Bucktooth.

owned ???

I heard most of the story a while back Matt. Only difference than the truth is that the 12k ahead had grown to 30K. :D Now I know the rest of the story.

Question, when racking, were the money balls put in a position where they could not be made on the break, or, just racked randomly since they didn't count?

Great story

I lived in the DC Metro area for a little while and was lucky enough to have caught Pooky at a couple tournaments in Virginia. Now I live in the SF Bay area and occasionally Bucktooth comes in to play some 1P where I practice. Having seen them both in action I bet it was a heck of a day.

P.S. Tell Pooky to get back to pool. The sport is not the same without his talent.

Well, at least the Tooth DID get down, albeit with a giant spot. $500 a game is huge action, that you just won't see very often! Props to Pooky for the big win...and props to Tooth for FINALLY getting into some action. I've seen him woof 1000x for every time he actually got down and played.

Who is Pooky?

Everything in the post is true Bucktooth told me thats why he said 2 years ago anybody in the world can give me 1 more ball than Pooky everybody at the DCC thought Bucktooth was not telling the truth when he said Pooky beat him bad. They thought Bucktooth was telling a story now the truth comes out. ANY CHAMPION IN THE WORLD THAT WANTS TO PLAY BUCKTOOTH WHEN HE GETS WELL HAS ACTION JUST IMPROVE THE GAME BY ! BALL... Like Bucktooth said there must be someone that plays better THAN POOKY.....YOU CAN PLAY FOR THOUSANDS EACH GAME...
