<<<Pool Detective Needed>>>

I need a pool detective to give me the line on Larry Price ..I've seen him play once.. but I have no idea what his true speed is because I heard there was business involved;I don't know.

I was in the local watering hole for pool players the other day and a bar fly tells me"You know that Larry Price has been chompin' at the bit to play you some for awhile now"..I have no idea if he was serious or not or even if his source is on the money..All I know is,I have no idea of Larry Price's true speed;if we were to gamble I would need to know that..I have a hunch that he plays about like Lizard;that being the case I would not play him even..

Anyone know anything about Larry Price's game..?:) :)

Larry Price is one of those players that definitely likes to keep his hand close to his heart! I've seen him play in Baltimore only once, but not for an extended period of time. He seems like a real quiet kind of guy when he's in action, doesn't say two words. So playing him would be a comfortable environment for you if you decide to step up to the plate. Play him some cheap sets and see how you like it! :D

Walt,
You've been here for a while now. I've read most of your posts, and you do start some clever new posts. BUT, if you have to ask about a player of the caliber of Larry Price, well....
Here are 2 tips, if you're interested..
1. Check out Accu-Stats. I belive you may find a match or 2 of Mr Price, under the Bank Pool section....A good one for your perusal may be the one in which he wins the 2002 Bank Pool Championship at the Derby City Classic.
2. Since you had to ask his speed, if I were you, I would not play him unless he gave up some nice spots, like the wild 2 in 9 ball :D

I'm not trying to be some smart#@@, but if you really want to play him,
let us know how it goes.....
And good luck.

Thanx Jam!

Then get up and play him some even. And you tell us how he plays. How about that?

Jay,
Being a strong banker yourself, how would YOU play ol' Larry?

We played once in Dayton 100 years ago. I lost.

But I got up and played and didn't ask anybody how he played.

Sure thing ...

I just got off the phone with a guy that knows Larry

and now I have a better idea of how he plays..Hey Jay,I see that you and I are from a similar pool school; The cardinal sin is knocking another players action and I respect that you did'nt give up your take on him on this anonymous forum..

Well anyway,I think I'll pass on him.He banks better than I do and he's double tough for the dough.Next

Nothing personal man. I don't even know you and I don't really know Larry that well either. He's just another old fart like me.

Man, I was just about to tell you exactly how Larry plays and the best way you could match up with him. Too bad someone beat me to it. I'll try to be quicker next time. ;)

Walt, for posting this thread, I have decided to name you the honorary AZ "Poolroom Detective". Can I get a second on this nomination?

I'll 2nd that motion....

JCIN already has the title, hands down.

Now Jay, if you want to be like boxing and have your own organization, then by all means give out as many titles as you wish.

Okay. How about "Junior Welterweight Poolroom Detective"?

Why do I see an old Tom & Jerry cartoon where the mouse is looking at that big chunk of smelly cheese, just sitting there on that little wooden thing with the metal on it....:D
