I went to HS in the early 80s. Back then, if you were a hunter, you could take your rifle or shotgun on the school bus and they would drop you off at a different bus stop after school to where you were hunting (parent note required). The rule was the ammo had to be separate and you dropped your gun off at the front office when you arrived at school.

We weren't supposed to bring knives to school, but they would let hunting knives slide during hunting season. In fact, they didn't really enforce the no knife rule. We all wore our buck knives on our belts. When we got caught showing our knife off to our buddies, teachers would just tell us to put it away.

There was typically fist fights every day (big school). We would all hear about where the fight was going to be and crowds would gather beforehand to watch. No police were ever called. No one ever pulled a knife. No one ever shot anyone. Boys would typically shake hands and become friends after duking it out.

I tell my kids these stories and they just can't believe the way things used to be. Now they have random violence, rapes, bomb threats and LGBTQ clubs at school. What went wrong?

i doubt our leaders hate ea other, they need ea other in conjunction with msm, to insure we the people suffer as the circus in DC grinds on without yielding fruit

Many of the millions killed by those guys were targeted for elimination because of their religious ideologies.

It is more rational to believe in exactly 0 of the 236 religions, and at least search for what is really going on--you know--do real science !

I'd just like to emphasize this comment and how accepting someone else's personal point of view on their gender mortifies you to the point that you equate an LGBTQ club (which sole purpose is to give a marginalized group of people a place to simply exist) to "random violence, rapes, bomb threats". That's rich.

It’s just unfortunate that “pool hall” is in the headline of this tragic incident. There are those out there that will try to connect the two and use this as an argument against someone wishing to open a poolroom in certain communities.

Apologies, it wasn't my intention to equate those. The point I was trying to make was none of those things previously took place in school, and in my opinion, specific to LGBTQ, don't belong in pre-college education. Apologies again for my poor choice in mixing examples.
