This is one of the reasons that I make great attempts to get a pool lesson from many professional pool players when they pass through my town or I when I see them at pool tournaments.
I try to always be ready to get a pool lesson when anyone is traveling through town. Most of the time, I like to get only an hour or two of time from traveling professionals.
It is economical, efficient, convenient and helps the professional players cover their nut when traveling.

The logistics of going to a pool school can be taxing. Sometimes it simply isn't convenient time wise. Maybe you have work or family stuff that prohibits you from traveling. Maybe you don't have the funds at that time or maybe you just don't have the inclination and can't justify it, period.
The sad truth is that many people just don't want to spend the money on pool lessons. Some say they want to take pool lessons but the proof is in the taking of the lessons, not the talking about taking them. Most of the time, I just hear excuses for not taking lessons. Legitimate reasons for not taking lessons are rare and are limited to a few finite things, especially if you are a student of the game.
So which is it:
Are you a student of the game? (who takes pool lessons)
Or, are you simply a pool groupie?

(who simply talks about taking pool lessons)
