Pool Songs

I was sitting going through my music hard drive today and ran across an old Mel McDaniel song from 1984 Called "Hustler" It has one of the greatest pool lyrics

" All I heard was a cue ball crack , 9 balls fall and Slim say rack and he kept his run until all my money was gone . Then he looked at me with those eyes of ice and said I will leave you with one piece of advice to ponder as you hitch hike your way back home " great line

Which made me think how many pool songs are out there I only know this one and "The Baron" by Johnny Cash

What other pool songs are there ?

Banking with the Beard (yes Freddy da Beard - and yes its a real song)

Too Much Green (Phil and [lyrics by] "Duke" Keaggy) great tune!

"Duke" is a legit patent holding cue inventor. I have a copy on my desk as we speak

"Or steal my daddy's cue and make a living out of playing pool"

I guess one line from Maggie May doesn't qualify it as a pool song but it's all I could come up with. A good song from Rod Stewart none the less.

Wow. Mike Massey on the acoustic.

Now who knew that he can play and sing almost as well as he can on the table.

Funny the videos one can find totally by accident.

There was another Hustler song that I was looking for. I have it on the other computer, which isn't hooked up at the moment. I thought it may have been done by either CW Mcall or Red Sovine but couldn't fine it.

It is on UTube, just have to do the right search for it.

Quite good too.

Mike sings and writes songs on a daily basis. He's in contact with some of the great CW singers of his era.

The bud was low key and the records was Jamaican.
