What's you favorite food, or snack, when you're at the poolhall?

When I was a teenager I would buy a 15 cent bottle of Pepsi (16 oz. glass bottle), drink some of it, then pour a 5 cent bag of Planters salted peanuts down the neck, and enjoy some eight-ball. Great memories from a Summer day at Joe's poolhall.

Breakfeast...biscuts an gravey,lunch...bbq pulled pork sandwitch..dinner..lunch left overs or nacho's..yep,some days I am there all day. Okay,okay..red hots,or mike an ikes.

Oh man, the memories you brought up!

I remember going into the Rt 19 Bowling Alley and after getting a table and everything set up, I went and bought me a cold bottle of grape Nehi pop! I prefered cherry, but they didn't stock it. I got grape pop once just to try it and for several years, that was my pick. Later graduated to straight Pepsi's and ended up a Diet Coke drinker for life.

As for the snacks, anybody remember how good Rollo's taste in a poolroom!
Ummm, ummm GOOD!

Leaving home on a summer morning, walking to the poolroom with a couple dollars in your pocket, your $5.00 cue & case in hand....what more could a boy ask for!

Bacon Double Cheese Burger:smile:

My memories of my trips to the States in the 90's..

Ma Brown's Home made Meatball sub at Browns Billiards, Holly Hill, Daytona!
(R.I.P Tommy Brown my old friend!)

I always used to munch on Combo's while playing throughout the day!

When leaving for a Tourney or Road trip...
Sausage and egg Mcmuffin and Hot Cinnamon Roll for breakfast... awesome!

food?

When I was a kid the staples of my poolroom diet were the cheese crackers with the peanut butter in them washed down with a coke. I still do them sometimes.

Starcher's Billiards in Akron made some dangerous Buffalo wings in the 80's.

The best by far is at Berman's room...Q-Masters serves a grilled cheese with slices of crispy bacon added. It is a clogger for sure.

At Obelisk Billiard Club here in Newport News they have a tuna salad sandwich on a soft pretzel-like bun that is SO good. It's messy, so eat it when you're ready for a break, but VERY delicious.

At Q-Masters they have the best burgers I've ever had from a pool hall :P They're above average and pretty tasty in comparison to medium $$ restaurant burgers. Get all the fix-ins if you get one.

Grilled shrimp at Stroker's in Palm Harbor,FL! They may have the best selection, and best food around!

Pool room/small bar here in little rock called The Pit stop.
is also known for it's award winning barbecue. (owner competes in BBQ contests)

They have breakfast, lunch and dinner. also a sunday morning church service.

my favorite snack is chicken fingers with ranch.

yum yum

I always love good french fries. I remember getting good hamburgers at the old
California Billiards in Sunnyvale, CA too. Chicken wings are great, but I can't take too much spiciness.

mmm. I believe each room has their own specialty.

Hard Times Billiards, Sac: best thing on the menu is a french dip, "corrupted" with cheese. The combination of lots of black pepper, lots of melted swiss cheese, roast beef, au jus, thick steak fries- it's the absolute best "dinner- and- a- show" (sitting in the bleachers watching the action).

Jointed Cue Billiards, Sac: some think it's the cheeseburgers, some argue that it's the German sausage, still others will swear that it's the homemade chilli that's only served in the winter. What they all don't know, since they stay up all night and sleep in, is that the breakfasts are the best- greasy hash browns, thick crisp bacon, toast and eggs that are never "tortured," and early in the morning, the coffee is good and fresh! : )

Family Billiards, S.F.- they have some sort of fried flauta with salsa that I always always look forward to (but have learned I can't eat a whole thing- you really need to share with a few people or suffer grease overload).

That said, the very best pool food I've ever had was at Club 8 in Amsterdam: full on meals with veggies, huge calzones, great prices, and you never ever had to leave the poolroom.

Reminds me- there once was a poolroom in S.F. that was almost directly under a freeway- huge place, lots of private, one- table rooms, and always lots of youngsters... They had a real restaurant in the middle that was very nice, if a little shi- shi (wines and steaks). Can't remember what that room was called, but I'm pretty sure it's long gone now. Anyone remember that place? It was so big it was both crowded and anonymous...

My experience with pool hall food is that it is either incredibly good of awfully bad ... with no point in between.

In addition, I've never seen healthy food in a pool hall.
