i bought some buckhorn ferrules from rudie aka champ94wfo
mailed him a postal money order on feb 1st,
from ohio to wisconsin

monday the 7th rudie pm's me to say it isnt there yet
with the extreme weather , i just figured that was the reason for the delay

rudie was probably thinking,
oh crap, another one of those checks in the mail stories
then i started to second guess myself if i addressed the envelope correctly

well, yesterday rudie got the money order
IN PIECES:eek:

here's his message from late last nite
wish he could have got a few pics of it

Brent, The mo arrived today, thanks.
What happened is that it got mutilated in Cincinnati
and then they put the pieces of your envelope in a bigger one, and sent it off. They must have ****ed around 5 days before they sent it along.
No wonder they are going broke.
I took it to my post office today, and they said I would have to send it back to you for replacement and that there was nothing else they could do.To make a long story shorter, 45 minutes, a little swearing, and going up the ladder to the Post Master, I got it cashed there.
I know it wasn't your fault, and I appreciate the business.
Thanks
Rudie

glad it wasnt a cue!!!

with the numbers on the mo,
my name on the mo,
my name on the envelope,
wouldnt you think they could track me down to issue me a new one?

Rudie got the JUICE!!!

Man if he can get the government to move on a torn up money order I would says that he has got the juice. They completly lost a $500.00 Motherboard of mines and told me to go screw myself.

That reminds me of one day when the flunky mail carrier came by in her jeep and whacked the flower bed around the mailbox. Then proceeds to drive off like she didn't do anything. Well one hostile call to the PO had the postal master out fixing the retaining block around it. LOLz

I just shipped a shaft to a customer and he said the box arrive looking like it was nearly torn in two! Luckily the shaft survived, but how can they be so careless? They realize there are competing carriers right? It was a triangle box too!

I got a box with some cues back recently that was in pretty rough shape. The label was completely unreadable. The only reason I think it came back to me is that I had reused a box and it had my name and address on it elsewhere. There were 2 cues in there, worth around $3,500. There was just some minor damage to one shaft. I took photos and was going to go collect insurance, but I figured that would be more hassle than just making another shaft.

The reason the usps is going broke is the same reason every company is going broke...They pay way too much to the people at the top. The top 10 guys at the usps make what the rest of everyone in the company makes put together.

Just like the auto industry. They blame the people that make less a year than they do each min of the day..

... The top 10 guys at the usps make what the rest of everyone in the company makes put together. ...

Really? Wikipedia says they employ about 600,000 people. Even if the average pay were only $30,000/year, that would be $18 billion per year. Do you think the top 10 average about $2 billion each? Maybe $200 thousand, but $2 billion? Really?

Agreed that the postal service is FUBAR...run by the same folks who will bring us "universal health care"...

Not so fast, you are using some fuzzy math. The real reason the USPS is going broke is because of the Unions and those Federal pensions.

Just a little enlightenment, not every company is going broke. Don't know where you get that from, but it is fuzzy too.

Never let the facts get in the way of a wild, unfounded political rant.....@ neu

The reason the post office is struggling is poor mgmt at the top, internet, and slow economy. How do i know? I work there. Are we perfect, hell no. Point out a company that is. I don't disagree we make mistakes, we have millions of opportunities to screw up every day. Not everybody cares, but most of us do. The unions don't have time to fix what's wrong because they're too busy saving morons jobs. I would guess i make 10-20 mistakes a year, putting me at 99.999999999999999999% accurate. I'll take it until i can work at the magic company where everyone is happy and nobody screws up. I truly wish we never made mistakes, but we do. If it's of any value, TRACK AND INSURE IT. Express overnight damn near fixes all of these problems. Sorry for the rant, had a long cold day delivering mail in the ice and snow, and i know how well i do my job so this gets me going from time to time. And no, i am not the usps cheerleader. For some reason i felt the need to open my mouth, usually not a good idea....oh well.

Unions make up for less than 10% of our nations jobs now and you still blame them. That is like saying the baby is eating all the food.

Man I have not laughed that hard in a long time...lol

I can tell you from experience, the PO is all union and crappy ones at that.
I quit after 3 years and it was the best decision of my life. At least from what I saw, the only thing the union did was to keep jobs for people who should have lost them.
Nothing in there is based on merit and that's the problem.

Not going to disagree that some are corrupt...It's the problem with most things now...That does not mean they (unions) are the problem or even a problem...They are just an easy target for the snake venom salesmen.

I know more than one guy that owns a union I lived in a union state my entire life until moving here to NC. I have owned and ran some businesses since I was 14 years old. I KNOW that If I was in charge all I would need is a mole that could get to the head of the union, and screw his friends, and I could pay that scum bag peanuts anytime he clapped, anytime he begs for more, and he will do his people however I want...

The reason unions are bad is because there are more scum suckers around now than ever before...The prisons are crowded and that means some of the worst types are not being punished at all...These are the guys at the top. They should be in prison. Instead they run our biggest company's and some even run our legal system now.

This is the failure not the unions, its the filth that makes it through the screening process...We need to police our unions, put detectives on the case to see if the board is meeting with your officers... people need to be punished when they betray, and cheat people that they are in "union" with.

I saw one company hire 100 new guys, get them added to the union, have a vote to see if they (everyone) needed raises. Then the new guys all voted "no". Guess what happens next...They fire all the new guys.

They brought in 100 temp guys, fed them the propaganda, then let them vote in the union. They fire them all...and this all in the same month.

Everyone in that sick planning meeting should be fired and bankrupted. This is one of the largest billion dollar corporations in the world. They can to pay people a lot more!

Fine scott this one could be called a rant....

Ok, more ranting I know you want it...lol

... 599,000 is not 600,000 even in USA math today...

Are you somehow quibbling over the 0.2% difference between 599,000 and 600,000? In post #7 I used a USPS employment figure of "about 600,000" to show how ludicrous your statement was that "The top 10 guys at the usps make what the rest of everyone in the company makes put together."

I don't know for sure what the employment level is at the USPS. But whether it is 400,000 or 500,000 or 600,000 or 700,000 -- and whether their average pay is $15,000 or $30,000 or $60,000 -- makes absolutely no difference in demonstrating that your comment misses the mark by an enormous factor.

Numbers mean something to me. I hate it when people use them irresponsibly.

Just pointing out we did the same exact thing man!!!

Just pointing out we did the same exact thing man!!!

No we did not do the "same exact thing man!!!" I said "about 600,000" and noted my source for that approximation. "About" means it is not precise.

Your statement is factually wrong by an enormous factor, and it quite possibly was intentionally misleading.
