This guy is the highest paid as he is the Postmaster General. Compare this to most lasrge company CEO's and he's not making much in comparison. Below are the stats for most postmasters across the country and I can tell you, there are union employees making more than them with overtime.

•The national median annual wages for postmasters and mail superintendents range from approximately $36,180 to $81,190 as of May 2009, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The lowest 10 percent of employees earn less than $36,180 and the top 10 percent of employees earn more than $81,190. Starting Salary Range
•PayScale lists the salaries of postmasters or mail superintendents based on years of experience. In October 2010, postmasters or mail superintendents with one to four years of experience earned from $33,537 to $48,980; five to nine years, $58,958 to $75,394; 10 to 19 years, $53,062 to $75,753; and 20 years or more, $59,548 to $82,207.

They are fairly compensated in monopoly money...Here in the real world they are overpaid fat cats. They get more than the President of the United States...So even though you are right I smudged it a little I am right too.

They are overpaid and since they run it...they are the ones ruining it too.

So I am wrong...lol They only get too much, not way too much!

I saw one company hire 100 new guys, get them added to the union, have a vote to see if they (everyone) needed raises. Then the new guys all voted "no". Guess what happens next...They fire all the new guys.

They brought in 100 temp guys, fed them the propaganda, then let them vote in the union. They fire them all...and this all in the same month.

Everyone in that sick planning meeting should be fired and bankrupted. This is one of the largest billion dollar corporations in the world. They can to pay people a lot more!

Riddle me this BATMAN, how can you print all the money used for all trade, eliminate the gold standard for the people of the country who's money is being used for international trade(1933), then eliminate the gold standard for international trade(Breton woods 1973), still collecting interest for all the money being created for use on the planet(the U.S. dollar) and GO BROKE and require the people whom you've extracted this toll from, to pay an exaggerated, extortion, bailout number, from the people? Wow, Billy! I can't really figure out what you're saying, but I'll take your word that it's a rant. I don't recall ever seeing a post like this from you before. I much prefer the ones about golf, lutherie, cue making, and pool.
 
This thread makes me realize i am not alone...I thought my area was the only one screwing up.....One letter sent from 20 miles away took 5 days to get to me..Plus add up all the other letter problems.....No wonder they are in the RED...

What happened is that it got mutilated in Cincinnati
and then they put the pieces of your envelope in a bigger one, and sent it off. They must have ****ed around 5 days before they sent it along.
No wonder they are going broke.
I took it to my post office today, and they said I would have to send it back to you for replacement and that there was nothing else they could do.To make a long story shorter, 45 minutes, a little swearing, and going up the ladder to the Post Master, I got it cashed there.
I know it wasn't your fault, and I appreciate the business.

I have worked for the US Postal Service for 26 years now. In that time I've seen almost evrything imaginable. I'm sorry about your MO being eaten by the processing machines, on behalf of the USPS.

For those people confusing us with the Federal Govt., here is a fact for you; The Postal Reorganization Act was signed by President Richard Nixon on August 12, 1970. It replaced the cabinet-level Post Office Department with the independent Postal Service on July 1, 1971.

The Govt. does not subsidize us, except for "free matter for the blind" and a small stypen for "media mail".

Government unions have little power, can't go on strike and are forced to take what management hands out in the way of pay. They mostly exist to protect workers from idiot bosses, of which there are not shortage.

Kind of like police unions, they are there to protect the cop when the suits in the office don't have the balls to.
