Since I am to cheap to pay $17 per inch for premade ring stock and don't want to be limited to what is avalible to everyone else. I made a router table with a indexable carraige. Just made it out of junk I had around the shop. Who says cue making has to be expensive. Cost of to make, zero. Being able to make myown ring, priceless.

I like the innovation and you're getting the job done.
It's not real elite but hey, it's a start.
I commend you for that. You've shown personal initiative.

With regards to the price you quoted of $17/in., I don't know if you are speaking of the raw, bare billet or inlaid, but $17/in is cheap.
FWIW, I get $15 per ring(.080-.100") and $25 per ring for sterling silver inlaid Cog rings. Wait until you have to inlay 30 slots with sterling and you'll know why the price is what it is. It takes 3 ft of sterling to do 1" of billet. I guess it comes down to, 'what's your time worth'?

Necessity is the mother of invention. I'm actually more interested in that 60's Mustang in the background. :)
