I will start first:

2006 has been a very exciting and fruitful year for me, this would not have been possible without Az.

I want to take this opportunity to thank each and everyone of you on this forum for your valuable insight, feedback, suggestion, and criticism. Thank you.:)

There are a few members on this board that I really want to thank personally in public.

The first one is Charlie Bryant. Charlie, thank you for using the X Breaker, and for making it look so good on TV with your awesome break. Thank you also for using the X Breaker in the reality show, and for helping all the customers with their breaks and such all the time at my booth. I really appreciate your help, especially in Valley Forge. It was a lot of fun watching you winning matches after matches in Reno, I would like to wish you great success in the coming year.

I also want to thank Larry Nevel. Larry, I really appreciate your trying out the X Breaker and using it in the US Open 2005. I hope you will continue to post on this forum, I will be looking forward to meeting you in the Derby.

OMGWTF, your blog is one of the best, period. I am very flattered that you have included me in one of your blogs. I will be wearing a pair of tight pink leather pants with a black fish net see through top and a pair of white cowboy boots with cowhide with 3" heels in the Derby. Please do not forget to bring your camera this time. Thank you.

Jack, thank you for the case, it is so beautiful I do not know how to thank you enough. I actually slept with it (I mean, fallen asleep while admiring it) a few times when I first got it. May you and Toots have a great new year.

JAM, thank you for your wonderful posts. I had a good time chatting with you in Valley Forge, thankyou for saving a seat for me so I could watch Keith play. :) I will be looking forward to your wonderful company again this year in Valley Forge.

Matt Krah, thank you for emailing me everytime you won a tournament. You do not have to always say it is because of the X Breaker, because we all know it is you who made those winning 9 balls. Congrat for your wonderful performance in 2006, I will be looking forward to hear more good new in 2007.

Tanner, thank you for posting your reviews on Az. I have never asked you to say anything on the forum, but you have been just way too kind. Thank you. May be we will see you in the US Open next year?:)

Pamela Treadway, thank you for using the X Breaker on ESPN. You and Josh are the cutest couple. Congrat to your baby.

Dave (12squared) Gross, thank your for your valuable feedback on the X Breaker. I have made some changes based on those comment. Thank you. Hope to see you on the tournament trail.

Fred Agnir, thank you for writing that wonderful article for me in Inside Pool. It is a real pleasure knowing you. I will never forget that break you made in Valley Forge. I really appreciate your posts, and your great sense of humor.

Cecilia, thank you for promoting the X breaker on the Tiger Planet Tour. It has been a pleasure being part of such a professional tour. I really appreciate your choosing to use the X breaker yourself, and I would like to wish you and your tour many success.

Davey Gravy, you have been very supportive, encouraging, helpful, and just totally awesome. You have been there for me all the time. I do not know how to thank you enough. You are just awesome. Thank you. (PS. But I still would try my best to beat you when we play.:))

Timberly, and Don, thank you for making the room possible in the Derby, and thank you for all your wondeful posts over the year.

Dave, I have to say you have received a lot of exposure for a moderator.:) I regard you as a friend, and I really appreciate your helpful advice over the year. Thank you.

Tomati, your design rocks! I am so happy to see your business taking off, and I am sure you will be even busier next year. Thank you for your referred business. I cannot thank you enough.

Mike (Azhousepro), thank you for using the X breaker. I hope you and Holly will win lots of tournaments and match up next year.:) I love the banner you designed, and thank you so much for making Az the most wonderful pool forum.

Lisa, Heath, John(JR), Roger, Brian, Denny, Doug Carter, Scott, Unknown, Twilight, and many others, thank you so much for all your support and encouragement.

Sorry this is a bit long (it could have been much longer.:) ) I just really want to express my appreciation here in public, I feel very fortunate and blessed to have met all you wonderful people here on Az:) May you have a great and super happy new year.

Richard

I would like to thank everyone for making this place informative, fun and entertaining. Happy New Year.

Wow, there are so many GREAT folks on this forum whose contributions have really made AzBilliards a great forum.

First and foremost, I give a standing ovation and a round of applause to AzHousePro and Mr. Wilson for staying the course.

This forum has grown tremendously since I have been here, and I truly enjoy learning from pool folk around the world. It makes great reading for a pool enthusiast like me.

I propose a New Year's toast to SJM. His knowledge of the game and the players have really enlightened me, but it is his never-ending voice of reason that makes him a great asset to this forum.

Smorgassbored always puts a smile on my face, and sometimes it is refreshing to laugh once in a while. Laughter, as they say, is the best medicine. Keep it going, Smorgie! :D

Jay Helfert's contributions have been nothing but fantastic. He is always right on the money, and I look forward to reading more of his very informative posts in the year 2007.

Bill Porter's photographs from yesteryear are treasures. I know that I am not alone when I say that we all enjoy them immensely.

The above-referenced posters are only a few whose names come to my mind as we enter the year 2007, but I must state that it is the collective effort of everyone who contributes to this forum that makes it what it is today. So I thank everybody, and HAPPY NEW YEAR to all!

JAM

First and foremost I would like to thank Mike and everyone at AZ Billiards for this site. There are a lot of good people who contribute alot to this forum and I am thankfull to them. There is no other place you could go to get such a diverse cross section of pro players, experts on cues, pool history and action reports. Even though I don't post alot, I can't get through the day without visiting this site! It is truely an addiction.

I'd like to thank all the pool players and enthusiasts who make this such a great online community. The presence of AZ Billiards truly enriches the pool world! Happy New Year to all!

1st there are so many different posters that I enjoy reading their POV that I could never mention them all. :) :)

But I would definitely like to take this time and thank all the cuemakers who have helped me get started in the cuemaking buisness over the last year.....Although I dont think I would even be considered a " freshman " in this craft several cuemakers have sent me private info, and some have even called me to give me their knowledge.:) :) Now that is something great IMHO....these guys catch alot of garbage sometimes and yet they still keep us well informed.

ALSO I want to use this post to give a very special thanks to EVERYONE for the support you guys/gals showed us during our Benefit auction threads for Shirley and also For Dorinda Hightower as well.....

THERE REALLY ARE SOME GREAT PEOPLE HERE.....AND A FEW WHO ARE ON THE BRINK OF BEING GREAT ;) ;) :D :D

Many thanks to:

-Timberly and stevelomako for donating their time and efforts to the AZB room.

-sjm for opening my eyes to some of the defensive aspects of pool; and for the tremendous stories of past notable players.

-OldHasBeen for insisting that there be an "AZB room" at DCC.

-AZHousePro for providing the forum for our use.

-John Schmidt, Thorsten Hohmann, Sarah Rousey, Melissa Herndon, Jennifer Barretta, Jay Helfert, Freddie the Beard, and Keith McCready for putting up with the local trolls; and still finding the time to contribute here. The true students of the game REALLY appreciate it.

-JAM for her great updates and photographs - an irreplaceable forum asset.

-NYCcuedude for putting on a fabulous straight pool event - truly the game of champions.

-DaveK and SmorgassBored for ALWAYS making me laugh.

-breakup for losing the DCC raffle, allowing me to play with Efren and Jeanette. Also for providing a bright and shining example of what NOT to be; in comparison to him we ALL look like great players.

I would like to thank:

-AzHousePro for making this site available

-Mr. Wilson for keeping a civil atmosphere

-Most of those that were banned this year for all the happiness they have provided here with their absence.

-Timberly, stevelomako, Don and OHB for all their efforts with the DCC room.

-everyone for sharing their wit, insight, experience and emotions with the forum

-Williebetmore for teaching me the true meaning of so many new words

Thanks to all you posters who actually know what you're talking about and are willing to share.

The first time I learned how to play this game, the only instruction I had was from Mosconi's little red book. This time around, after not playing for 38 years, I've got you guys. :D

Best of everything in 2007!

My thanks:

-To Kevin Varney (Varney Cues) for the excellent work performed on my cue. Second shaft coming your way and can't wait for my belated Christmas present!!

-To Mr. Wilson. Keep up the good work. Moderating the forum is can be a difficult and thankless job.

-To Mike (AZB) thank you for the site. This is a place where many of us come to learn about the sport we enjoy so much.

-To Richard (Xbreaker). Thank you for starting this thread. My thanks to the board is overdue.

-There are of course forum members too numerous to list. I enjoy reading everyone's posts. I have gained a lot of knowledge in my short forum membership life and I thank all of you for that. While I may not agree with some of the posts, and some of you may not agree with some of my posts, the discussions and knowledge gained can be an invaluable asset.

I wish all of you a Happy and prosperous New Year.

Craig

I Just Love This Site

I had intended to make a list of Thanks You's to certain individuals for their contributions during this past year and the previous years, but each time I thought that I was finished, I came up with a few more names.

I'd like to thank EVERYONE that participates here (the Good, the Bad and the Ugly), for at one time or another, you've made me laugh, taught me something, opened my heart, saddened me and made me truly addicted to the AZB Forums and members.

I hope that we enjoy another wonderful year here and I pray that we lose far less loved ones than we lost this year.

Doug
(thanks everyone )

As the curtain gradually closes on another wonderful year here on AZB, my emotions run deep.

I have made some new friends this year as a result of this forum. Shanghai's own Colin Colenso and I met and had a nice long chat at IPT Las Vegas. Chris Tate, from California, and I hooked up for some pool in the spring and had a blast. Jimmy M, from Arizona, and I enjoyed sweating matches together at the BCA Open. I also caught up with three of my favorite midswestern AZBers, catching a breakfast in Las Vegas with Eydie Romano, spending lots of time with my close friend Williebetmore this summer, and also catching up with Wally in Cincy at Peoria. Of course, I got to spend some spend time with English poster and good friend TheOne, too.

Sadly, some AZBers much closer to home that I'm dying to meet fell outside my reach. To Timberly, JAM, Koop, and Bruin ---- one of these days I'm sure I'll have the pleasure.

Thanks to all the AZB veterans for a rewarding experience here on the forum. I'm also very appreciative all those who became members, or exercised active membership for the first time, in 2006. You have added greatly to this forum, and your future posts are awaited eagerly.

It's a special group we've got around here, and I continue to feel privileged to be part of the AZB family. Wishing all of you good health, good times, good fortune and good pool in 2007.

Thanks everyone

that makes up and contributes to this great Pool website, Mike, Dave, and a host of others too numerous to mention. It truly takes on a life of its own to keeps you glued to the new happenings on here.

The cuemaker's and dealers, the road and tournament stories, the pro's that contribute, the funny guys and gals, the beautiful cues we all get to see, the knowledge we gather whether on purpose or by accident :D is fun and interesting. I even get a kick out of Travis ... LOL To see young students of the sport like Tanner, become friends with somone like Solly over in Belgium, to hear about people like Mark Wilson, Scott Lee, enjoy Freddy and Jay's posts, Jam's, SJM, Oldbetmore, and many many others.

It's all good if you help it be that way.

Thank you everybody.

Scott - Still a student and having fun after 45 years of playing

Many thanks and blessings to each and every one of you that have made AZB a rich and varied experience. Here's a toast to an extraordinary 2007, filled with great rolls!

Linda

The forum has survived another year in good shape. AZ enters the New Year first in the points race for the Worlds best pool site ..thanks AZ for giving me a spot to enjoy my morning coffee.
May 07 be onward and upward....Happy New Year All.......

Lots of people to thank, but the one I have to single out on AZ is sjm. He's the first to introduce me to 14.1. Who knows if I'll ever win a game against him, but the games and the pointers are something I'll always appreciate. A lot of A players don't play with weaker players, but he's always willing to spread his knowledge and I certainly value that.

You are very welcome, Steve.

Actually, in my post in this thread, I did not recognize those AZB posters here in NYC that see to it that I've always got a pool game when I want one, but I think they know how much I appreciate them.

Steve, I'm glad we met this year. I always enjoy our games. You always play with enthusiasm and good sportsmanship, and I look forward to shooting some more pool together in 2007.

this site is awesome and than u all for the confidence and input happy new year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks to EVERYONE. Its a wonderful thing to have a place we can kick back and talk about pool! Lots of really nice folks here. Happy 2007 :)
Chuck
