MORE INFO...

This is authentic pre-flag.
The guy I bought it from says he thinks it's about 30 years old.

The chalk I have for sale is the slightly lighter blue than the current day
blue Master chalk (my pictures were taken without flash, so the color
accuracy is not perfect. Take a look at the second picture in post #43
for better color accuracy). Also, the "start holes" are drilled deeper,
matching the pictures and description of Manwon's older chalk.
The chalk I'm selling definitely goes on the tip differently than the present day Master chalk.
It goes on smoother. Also, you see very much less chalk dust falling to the floor as you apply it.
What I am selling is less gritty than the new stuff, and stays on the tip better.
In testing it out, I could go more shots without chalking, ie., it stays on the tip better and longer,
which probably means less miscues.
My hands are staying much cleaner.
This chalk is lasting longer than the current post-flag Master chalk.

I am liking the pre-flag better than the post-flag, but I'd rather sell it and have the money.

eBay...

I'm also selling this on eBay, so you can buy there for protection.
My user name on eBay is fatspazz.
I have been on eBay for four years.
My feedback rating on eBay is 23, all positive, no negatives or neutrals.
Most of my eBay transactions are sales, not purchases.
Some of those eBay transactions are for pool related items. I am a pool player.
My prices on eBay are the same except shipping is not included.

I've been asked to sell one box (of 12), not my original plan, but maybe.

Also I've been told that my prices are too high. I started based roughly on $2 per cube, because that's what I have observed to be the typical price (even saw one thread at $3 per cube for 5 cubes), then worked my way down from there for larger quantities. Perhaps I didn't work down far enough. Lets just say I'll consider offers.

One more report of unsolicited PMs selling this chalk will result in a quick banning.

We don't mind selling pool related items on the forums. But we do mind sending PMs to people telling them about it when they didn't ask for them.

Got it. I sent those PM's to people who previously expressed interest in the item in past threads. But now I know... won't happen again.

Just a little S.O.P. here on good ole AZ Billiards....

I get it. You're staking claim to be the first poster to follow the newbie's first post.

I have actually been a lurker on AZ for some time and have seen this type of post before, but never actually got it until just now.

Close but no cigar.

They make a game of attempting to respond to you before I do.
....and my response is one of two thing normally.
I'll either delete your post, or for spam...a ban.

I sent a PM to AzHousePro last night explaining that I sent those PM's to about 30 people in one sitting. You may receive more complaints if some of those people have not yet received the PM. It is my hope that you will consider this a single act. And I assure you all that no further such PMs will be sent by me.

A little bird told me if you are luck you will still find No Flag Master, made post 9/11/2001.

I'm very sure this is older stuff. First, the guy I bought it from says he thinks it's about 30 years old. This guy doesn't know about all the pre-flag desirability, so he wouldn't have any reason to lie.

Second, referring to this post..

http://forums.azbilliards.com/showpost.php?p=1599803&postcount=21

The chalk I have for sale is the lighter blue, and the "start holes" are drilled deeper, matching the pictures and description of Manwon's older chalk.

Thirdly, this chalk definitely goes on the tip differently than the present day chalk. It goes on in more of a "creamy" way. Not "cakey", but a little "creamy". I have tried Blue Diamond, and I'd say BD is "creamier" than the chalk I'm selling here though. Also, there is none of that gritty dust falling to the floor as you apply the chalk to your tip. Now this is where I'd say it does not match Manwon's description. He says the older stuff is grittier. I'd say that what I am selling is less gritty than the new stuff, but DOES stay on the tip better, bringing me to my fourth point...

I usually chalk before each shot, but in testing this stuff out, I could go more shots without chalking, ie., it stays on the tip better and longer.

Thank you for prompting me to post this, should have done so in the first place.

Good luck with your sales.

I would buy some from you, but I have two grosses of Pre Flag already and a gross of really old Gold Crown chalk.

Take care!!

Russ...

I will entertain offers of sending someone some of this chalk to try out. I won't screw anybody intentionally or accidentally. I could send a box of 12 to a worthy volunteer. We would agree on a price before hand, but don't pay me yet, then I send the chalk.

AFTER you get it, inspect it and use it, if it's the real deal, THEN you pay me the agreed upon price. And then you would post the result here for all to see.

I would need a volunteer that has a good reputation for honesty and reliability and who is knowledgeable in this area. So I would like for people to post here telling me who they would recommend to do this, other than yourself. Then hopefully, the chosen person would be willing to volunteer.
