Pre-view of DVD on how to extend sub-rails.

What good is the best cloth, on the best table, if someone "claiming" to be a mechanic comes along and screws it up. All that does is give "US" a black eye, as the "after" condition of the table has NO bearing on what the cloth was that was installed, or who built the table, and THAT...is a black eye we all share standing alone!

Glen, would you see any advantage in the installing of super-speed flat side up, or would the canvas location preclude that as a beneficial option?

Maybe someday there will be a governing body to attest to, or certify the
"mechanics" qualifications to preform to a standard of competency. I see your contributions there as the next step in this very necessary evolution for our profession.

I know you can take care of all of this in your spare time...LOL:D :D :D

Artemis Pool 66 is a K66 profile.

Super speed wouldn't play right mounted upside down, as the canvas acts as a stiffener if you will, to make the cushions play more consistant.

Nice handy work Glen. I have someone do that job for me(extend the rails to tighten pockets),he does a nice job like you do and doesn't charge me much. If his pricing changes,I might have to get your DVD.How much is it? By the way, did you use to own a Billiard room in the Seattle area?

Yes, I use to own the Cascade Family Billiards in Renton, the Kent Recreation Center in Kent, and the Puyallup South Hill Recreation Center:D

Hey Barry, I never saw your post until now:o I do make it to Dallas a few times a year as I have some friends there that I recover their pool tables when they need them done. I'll have to look you up sometime...how's your game been...you still playing?

I usually have about 10-12 hours in the rails depending on the starting condition. That doesn't include working on the rest of the table as well:grin:

Very interesting post, and great pictures showing the process of tightening up the pockets. I don't know if I would ever have the guts to attempt this. But it is nice to know there will be a video on how to do it, if I should ever try.
 
Facings At Lowes or Home Depot

What department do you find the facings at Lowes or Home Depot? What do you ask for? Do they call them facings or something else?
