Glen,
I noticed in the pictures you used super-speed (or some other similar K-55) cushion. If you used Artemis intercontinental #66 on this Gold Crown would you have installed the Artemis cushion with the canvas on the top or the bottom? In other words, curved profile on the top or on the bottom?
On the Diamonds the Artemis has the flat profile (and canvas) on the top of the rail. I've read your previous post pertaining to this issue as it applies to Diamond tables, does this same process and benefit apply to Gold Crowns as well?
Thanks for all the invaluable info you provide through this forum, It's been very helpful

Hey Jay,
I installed the Brunswick super speed cushions on these rails, and as far as facings go, I got the rubber at Home Depot in the pluming section, it's gasket material, 1/8" thick, that was kind of in a pinch choice for cushion facings as I didn't have any 3/16" neoprene with me at the time. Yes, the Artemis Intercontinental cushions apply to the Gold Crowns as well, but so does the Brunswick super speed, but not the Artemis K66 pool cushion rubber. In order to install these cushions on a GC, the sub-rails would have to be modified, and I really see no point in doing that, as there is cushions that fit and don't have to be "Fitted" to the GC rails. As far as posting my knowledge here on AZ, there's a reason for doing that, and soon enough everyone will understand what and why I've been sharing my methods and systems with everyone.
I think that if you stand out as a mechanic, then you can get the respect and attention of everyone else, enough to at least say "hey, he knows what he's doing...because that idea works" As I've said before, all mechanics need to come together on the same sheet of music and "together" make something of our industry, in order to get "us" out of the ditches and shadows of this industry, and bring "our" union right up to the level of the cloth and table manufactures, as being JUST as important, even if not MORE so. What good is the best cloth, on the best table, if someone "claiming" to be a mechanic comes along and screws it up. All that does is give "US" a black eye, as the "after" condition of the table has NO bearing on what the cloth was that was installed, or who built the table, and THAT...is a black eye we all share standing alone!
