Predator Revo shaft full review and deflection test

earl won how many tournaments and wc's and us opens with a cuetek??? dont see everyone using those still......even back then.....bet money its not as goodas wood........humans thinking they gonna make a better product than wood lol....thats hilarious.

when theres a quantum computer controlling the carbon nano bots in the shaft....then we can talk about it being as good or better than wood.......

carbon has a lack of connection under wood.....so cant touch it....wont make as good of a musical instrument either.....oops cues are percussion instruments...

bummer for the humans,

Rainsong and Composite Acoustics might disagree that carbon won't makes as good of a musical instrument (guitar). Just like this shaft, "to each their own opinion".

Personally, I really like the looks and the attributes I have heard about it and have ordered one. With the few #s being sold, don't know if I will get one or not. I may be disappointed, but won't know if I don't try.

HawaiianEye - If I do get it, you are more than welcome to come down to Hawaiian Brians on a Sunday afternoon and give the "Sucker" cue a try :)

Another contender here to improve your game! But personally, I don't think it will jump you up to the next level. Although I think most on here would like to try it out😃

I was able to test the revolution shaft out today at the predator booth and I really liked the hit. The shaft felt better then most other LD shafts on the market. Doesn't mean I'm gonna buy one but still nice. I was really impressed with the predator booth this year they were super friendly and weren't rushing people.

I saw and felt it at the expo, but did not play with it. Yikes! LOL.

Anyway, it does not have that sticky feel at all. It felt really good in the bridge hand.

I played with it and ran a rack. Shoots good and feels good. Deflection is extremely minimal...the future price however is probably up to debate. They told me that they would not be selling it as a standalone shaft for at least the next 12 months. Price the expect will probably be around $400. Can not confirm but that is my guess from talking with them. Really is a good shaft and hits rather smooth.

I hit about ten shots with it at the expo and didnt miss a ball. It plays solid. The color of the shaft and lack of ferrule was a little distracting but i guess i could get used to it. It is solid carbon fiber, no wood at all. The weave of the fiber goes in different directions at different areas of the shaft to give appropriate strength and flexibility where needed. The guy at the booth told me they are all 12.9mm and 3.8oz. As of now, the weight and diameter are not changable or customizable. Didnt sound like that was a plan for the future. They will be releasing several new cues over the next few months that will feature the shaft and will have the shafts for sale by themselves even further into the future.

That sound of it would bother me. It sounds like you're hitting the ball with a beer can.

I'm not sure if you're talking about the Revo, but I assure you, the sound is no beer can. The shafts feels good and sound solid.

I'd need them to actually sell the shaft individually

Freddie <~~~ described a real world low squirt carbon shaft years and years ago

My Z2 doesn't swerve like that. It takes the Revo 6 diamonds to recover from squirt?

All shafts will swerve a ball like that. It's just to what extent does it swerve. I've never bought into the LD hype because every "LD" shaft I've tried has just as much cue ball deflection as my standard maple shaft. That's including the Z2. How you can claim such garbage is beyond me. Not to mention that Brandon guy is a complete air head. Garbage input=garbage output.

More garbage?
