I just got here about an hour ago, here are some of the highlights of the day. If anyone has any questions or comment's post them here.

The IPT Qulaifier at Pro-Tyme began with the players meeting at 10:00 am this morning... Play started at 11:30, the action is hot and heavy.

Jeanette Lee's first match was aginst one of my favorite younger players Ryan Behnke form Iowa. Jeanette won 10-2. Jeanette then played a very solid match against David Matlock with Matlock bringing home the win 10-7. Ryan Behnke is now out.

AZBilliards own Danny Harriman won 10-4 against Michael Enters in his first match, then going on to concor another against Roger Griffis. More info onthat coming up. Danny plays again tomorrow.

Jessie Bowman won his first match against Canadian Eric Hjoriesion The match started 6-3 Eric with Jesie breaking 6 racks and then he broke and scratched and then Eric broke and ran the next to to make it 9-9 with Eric breaking coming up dry and Jessie finishing the match. This was one of the highlights of the tournament today..

Jessie went into his second match against Brian Brekhe. Jessie was up 3-1 and the Brian was up 4-3 then Jessie was up 5-4 Jessie was up 8-5 then it was over. Jessie plays again tomorrow at noon.

Bobby McGrath won his first match against Adam Behnke (Ryan's brother, from Iowa) 10-2.

Dave Matlock played flawless pool with neithe Mark Jarvis or David missing a single ball. Dave won 10-8 against Mark. Mark plays Jerry Sliva later on this evening.

Mark Jarvis has offered to play one on one with anyone in the house.

Ok, this is it for the moment, I am gathering up more info and will be right back.

Remember to go to the chat forum and talk with Jasmin. That is going on now!

We have a lot of pictures of the event here, but I am having trouble shrinking them. That's what happens when it's not your own computer. There ia a great group shot of all the players but it is to big. I am going to try and send it to mike and see what he can do with it.

I can`t believe that u have so many great pros playing in that and sadly only 2 will get the tickets for IPT.

Jeanette won her last match of the night against Dennis Babcock 10-6. She is hitting them real well.

Richard Pierce knocked out Tommy Hernandez 10-8.

Jose Rivas knocked out Eric Hjorieson 10-4.

Earlier this afternoon, Rodolfo Luat won against Gerald Slivka 10-5. I have not had a chance to see Luat play as of yet, but from what I have been told, he is a favorite to win this.

The match of the day tomorrow will be at Noon with Jessie Bowman playing Danny Harriman. This will be a tough one for me, they are 2 of my personal favorites. :(

Now IF Bowman beats Harriman in that match, AND IF Matlock beats Faro Palazzo in his next match, we will get to see the AZB disputed question of who would beat who, Bowman or Matlock???

We can see that some other time... heck we could see that if they decide to match up after tournament play... for the time being, I would like to see Mr. Harriman win... all of his matches.

Not that I have anything against anyone else but.... I've known Danny since we were 18 and I'm telling anyone that will listen... you simply will not meet a nicer, more respectful, more honest guy than Danny Harriman. Period, end of discussion. On top of all the great character traits that Danny has, he just happens to play phenomenal pool and has paid his dues in the pool world and honed his skills on the road as a young man... Danny deserves a piece of the IPT pie. ;)

I couldn't agree with you more Tim's... He is a great guy, and as I have stated one of my personal favorites. I have known Jessie since he was very young and consider him family. I have not known Danny long, but consider him to be the nicest person in the game to date. It's a very hard call for me, kinda like having to choose your best friend.

The match is just something they are talking about here and it is just some fluff to draw them in for tomorrow! :D

I know. ;) I'm just in a denial stage and not willing to hear or think of Danny getting beat. :D

I wouldn't mind Jesse & Dave matching up... for stakes after the tourney. :p I've heard many thing about Bowman... his reputation precedes him for sure... I've never met the young man, nor have I seen him play, but I do know that he can play. ;)

I'm going back to bed to make another attempt at falling asleep. Best of luck to all the players in all of the qualifiers tomorrow. :)

lol, you know you can't sleep! I never said that Jessie would beat him, so don't think negative... all positive thoughts girl! :D

A good deal of the players have gone to their rooms for the night. Most likely a good idea because tomorrow will be a big day.

The remaining die hards are:

Jeanette
Jeff Beckley.. what a sweetie!;)
Roger Griffis who is presently playing Mark Jarvis banks for $20.00 a game.

The Iowa Crew, Tommy Hernandez aka Tommy Gun, Jessie Bowman who is looking for some action, Shane Johnson and Pun.

and Ronnie Wiseman

Eydie,
Wow, thanks for the updates. I was crushed that I couldn't make it. Good luck to your favorites.

Only if they move to a bar box...lol. Someone will still contest it regardless who wins if it is on a 9 foot table...lol.

Update from Eydie...

Jeff Beckley is playing a guy from Maine that's in the Q (Eydie can't remember his name)... 10 ball, $200 a game... Jeff was up 2 games when Eydie left.

Danny is a good guy. I'd like to see him win it.
David Matlock is an old friend, I'd like to see him win it.
Jesse Bownam is an up and coming talent, I'd like t see him win it.
Roger is an old friend, I'd like to see him win it.
Jerry Slivka was down here last year and played real well, I'd like to see him win it.
Now, how the Hell am I gonna work this out.

Wow, I have never seen Jessie hit a ball on a big table, but have no doubt he can play.
I saw David play a couple of weeks ago and he was playing like the David of 15 years ago. If they play tomorrow, I would bet pretty high on David, but no outcome would surprise me too much. On a bar table, well, one doesn't have to bet.

LOL, I feel your pain. Everytime there's a qualifier, I end up in this predicament. :( I just pull for them all and am pleased if any one of them wins it. :)

He was up early this morning and should be playing as I type this now. I will be going over there soon and I will make sure to give him your message. I didn't get much sleep last night, so it is taking me a while longer to get going this morning..

Latest Update... More coming

Okay, I am back. There seems to be a lot going on here. This is what I know so far:

Shin Park won against Ronny Weisman 10- 8. The last game Park made a fantastic out for the win..

Jerry Slivka BBQed Shawn Wilke 10-1. Jerry opened with A 5 and ended with a 3. Shawn Scratched on the first gameand thr next time he shot it was 5-0. Jerry then scratched on the break, Shawn ran out after that game to make it 5-1, Then he scratched and Jerry ran 3 after that to make it 8-1. Jerry came up dry on the break and Shawn didn't get out. Jerry then finished him off, RUNNING running the next 2 for the win.

Jessie Bowman lost against Danny Harriman. Jessie ran the first 2 racks then broke and came up dry, then Danny came up stroong and ran the next 6 to make it 6-2, then Jessie won the next 2 then they traded games until it was done. Danny broke and ran out for the win. Jessie plays Jerry Slivka at 6:00PM tonight.

Michael Enters won against Scott Kiddo 10-6.

Faro Palazzolo won against David Matlock 10-8

Greald Slivka won against Mark Jarvis 10-5.

Rodolfo Luat played almost flawlessly to beat Bobby McGrath
10-2.

Jeff Beckley finished off last night up $400 in 10 Ball against Shawn Wilke.

Blackjack ~ I gave Danny your message. He is playing soon and he has his phone turned off. If it's important, give me a call and I will relate your message.

Jeanette is getting ready to begin her next match.
