Problems with Pierce cues

I hope Jim makes this right. It would be bad for business if he didn't. I love Jim's cues and I don't want to lose respect for the man. Make it right Jim.

pfduser, being fare to you and Jim, Im not answering his calls or text msgs. He had a chance, and didn't follow through with what he said. He then went crazy on me and I don't have to let anyone treat me like that. At this point I want nothing to do with this guy any more. I cant say enough how this entire deal was bad.
The worst part of it all is I came to the conclusion that I now longer want anything to do with Ivory in any cue I own, AFTER I bought paid for and received this cue the first time. Jim offered to make the second shaft with other material but I just let him do his regular thing hoping it would get done faster. So maybe its the way things were ment to be. Im now free to go ivory free and not be ashamed of my cue. But again for the record he has been trying to contact me. But he also said he was getting a lawyer after me also. lol

That's the taper roll that you're complaining about????? I wouldn't have a problem with that shaft at all. Looks like less than a credit card thickness of a difference at the apex. I think your judging it real real harsh

C'mon Sam, I thought y'all had credit cards in the hood these days that's at least 2 credit cards, with room to spare I would be pissed if I spent $650 for that...

Plus, you are aware the original shaft sent with the cue was a "gaffe" shaft, and Jim admitted that....so I guess one with a roll this big should be acceptable to folks ??

I remember when Orange County Choppers came out and every schmo who ever changed oil on a Harley thought they could build bikes. Most are bankrupt and there customers are now looking for a real mechanic.

He does NOT like the shaft, he obviously dislikes Jim for his atrocious customer service skills, and would sell the cue for what he paid... but he just wants a good shaft, thus OB will fix him right up, but such a shame folks buy a custom cue, and then have to buy a shaft because the so called "custom" guy could not pull it off ??

My buddy bought a nice Jim Pierce last year. And a sneaky. Spent a lot of money. He is still waiting on his custom JP's that Jim has never made or sent. He acts like my bud is bothering him when in fact, he only wants Jim to give him what he paid for. The cue is very nice but he could never sell it on the secondary market and come close to getting even. You just can't half as$ customer service. If you want to be a top tier Cue Maker you have to conduct business as such.

Im not selling it cause I would not pass the shaft on to anyone .

All of a sudden the shaft has gone from having a taper roll to being bowed. Please don't insult everyone's intelligence by telling us that the two terms are interchangeable. If you're going to embellish your story and claim the shaft is now bowed, I think you should at least try bending it some more first.

And since you are hell bent on damaging the guy's reputation, why not be accurate about how things escalated to where they are now between you and Jim. I mean, you do consider yourself an honest guy, right? Or am I mistaken?

While you're at it, if you are going to post text messages you received from Jim, why not post the whole conversation with your responses as well? Something to hide, perhaps?

I don't have a dog in this hunt so I'm not taking any sides here but I will say this though, I've had shafts roll a lot worse than that in the past after being shipped and then they have straightened out in a couple of weeks. Not sure if that will happen here but I've seen it on my end quite a few times which I attribute to humidity changes in transit. Not just on shipping and receiving end, but what it goes through in between as well. Typically it's worse in the summer.

Hope this works out ok for both parties involved.

i just got up a few minutes ago and read this entire thread. maybe i am missing something due to not being fully awake and a lil hungover

so here is what i understand and if i am wrong i am sure people on here will have no problem correcting me.:grin:

1. j flo bought this cue from snow man with a bad joint.

2. snowman says it came from jim that way.

3. j flo sends it to jim

4. jim supposedly fixes the problem ....but not to j flos satisfaction.

is this the crux of the situation ? if so the solution is obvious and simple to fix.

snow man takes the cue back and refunds j flo.

in just about every thread on here where if the buyer aint happy people say he should get his money back. no one on here has stated that so far....unless i missed it.:grin-square:

bottom line is j flo got a shitty cue from snow man who evidently bought it from jim and flipped it ...whether snow man knew it was shitty or not has never been brought up. did snow man ever screw it together ? if he did he sold a cue knowing it was faulty.

bottom line....again. :grin-square:

snow man should refund j flo. then snowman takes up the issue with jim ...who he bought the cue from.

Initially, it looks noble of Jim Pierce to step in and try to make things right.

But then, as we have read, things appear to have gone down hill fast.

There are def some inconsistencies that J-Flo has pointed out.

When the problem was first discovered (as soon as J-Flo rec'd the cue) he alerted the seller, Snowmon34, that there was an issue.

Snowmon34 then contacted Jim and made and agreement which he passed on instructions to J-Flo to send the cue to Jim Pierce and the end result was J-Flo not getting what he was supposed to, no 2nd shaft but a tee shirt instead and a replacement shaft that for whatever reason is not straight.

There's a big blow up with Jim apparently becoming vulgar over it and blowing up J-flo's phone.

My question is this: Where in the world is snowmon34, the seller of this cue? Shouldn't he be in plain view stepping in to make his customer happy, or refunding him for all of this nonsense?

How did he not kinow the shaft didn't screw on right?

Where are you snowmon34? Your customer is getting a royal runaround?

I didn't see where Jim admitted he 1st shaft was his mistake. Someone else could have done that to it and he just tried to fix it.

I have tried to make this rite since the minute I woke up to Johns crazy voice mail and rude txt.. I have called john 20-30 times and txt him close to 100 txt to try to take care of the issue and no response.. Here's what I have to offer send the cue back and I will build a new shaft and make sure it's perfect when it leaves here.. We can ship it to someone we both trust on AZ to check it out and then ship it to john.. I will pay for shipping from you to me and from me to the third party and pay for it from them to john .. Hope this sounds like a good solution . Jim

Ive played with the same cue for over 20 years. I got a ob2 made for it about 3/4 years ago and I have no roll on the ob, and just started getting a roll on my origanal shaft. I think that only happen cause it sits in the case all the time.
and as far as Predators not being straight, thats why I have an OB
This pierce was going to be an everyday player,2nd only in 20plus years. Did you get a chance to look at the video. Tapper roll is putting it mildly. Its warped.

That shaft is not warped.

I'm not agreeing with Jim at all in this situation and I hope you get your new shaft but calling the shaft warped for that tiny of a taper roll is a bit of a stretch IMO.

I guess if that's warped and anything slightly less than that is warped I've never shot with a straight shaft in my life. Darn.

I am more than willing to broker the deal if the Seller and Jim agree to have me as a neutral party. I will video and photograph the condition of the cue the day I receive it and will promptly ship to the buyer.
