Aren't snooker shafts LD to begin with, based on the taper?
No LD...Au Naturel. Does anyone make laminated snooker cue shafts...and how popular are they?

Honestly I hate LD shafts. I also don't understand some guys i've seen that get a SW or BB cue and switch their amazing shafts for LD shafts. I guess I can understand if you're a tournament player, and even then with enough practice you will master the deflection and be more consistent than a LD. Definitely don't like LD if playing recreationally, since the hit on almost every LD feels soul-less to me.

traditional snooker cues also have heavier end mass due to brass ferrules so no they are not typically considered ld even when compared to say a pro taper shaft with plastic ferule, end mass still trumps
Exactly...
The much shorter and way thinner walled brass ferrule causes more squirt than a normal pool shaft? Hmm never had that occur to myself personally
